Third person's pov
::::::::::::::::::::::::::Loren sat alone at the dining table eating a fruit salad. Not a day goes by that she didn't think about her mother. Her mother was her everything. She didn't have a relationship with her father. The last time she spoke with him was eight months ago. After her parent's messy divorce, her father moved away and never really kept in touch with her.
Deep down Loren wished that she had told her mother that she loved her the last time that they spoke. They had argued because Loren wanted to drop out of college to become a tattoo artist. Macy was not happy with that idea. She wanted Loren to get a college education. She played around with the fruits on the plate as she remembered her mom. She wasn't eating much lately because she wanted to lose weight. She always thought that she was never beautiful and that she was too fat. She always wanted to look like Kelly or her mom. Macy would often encourage her and tell her that she was beautiful.
The heavy wooden doors barged open and she heard footsteps coming toward her. She slowly turned her head around to see Luca Russo walking in with his hands tucked in the pocket of his black slacks. She watched anxiously as he poured himself a glass of whiskey.
He then walked over to where she was sitting. She felt her heart pick up its pace as he came closer to her. She inhaled his masculine scent which was turning her on a bit.
This was the first time that they were alone with each other and they both yearned for this moment.
"Can I join you?" His voice was deep and she could hear the strong Italian accent in his tone.
She shrugged as she stared at the plate of fruits sitting before her. "Sure, be my guess."
He sat on a chair next to her and put his glass of whiskey down on the table.
"Were you crying?" He looked at her tear-stained cheeks.
He wanted to take her pain away.
She shook her head. "No, I wasn't." She lied.
"I know what you're going through, Loren." He held her small fingers into his. He felt her tense up a little and then she relaxed.
Loren didn't reply to him. She only looked into his eyes which held so much pain and loneliness.
"I lost my mom too. She was also brutally murdered." He said to her as she stared at him with wide eyes.
"I'm sorry to hear. I didn't know." She uttered in a low tone.
"Yeah, I know. You never get over losing someone that you truly love." He told her as they looked at each other.
She nodded while he took a sip of the whiskey.

Loren**
Luca watched Loren intently while she drank, smoked, and chatted with a few of her friends. They were at one of Marco's strip clubs downtown. Loren had asked Kelly if she wanted to come with them but Kelly declined, saying that she had a research paper to complete. Luca didn't know that Loren smoked and the fact that she smoked marijuana. His gaze was fixed on her full-figured body. He thought that she was so pretty and attractive. He was so intrigued by this chocolate brown skin beauty. He never took his eyes off her.
