Kelly.
A small part of me wanted to leave this place and leave Marco but a bigger part wanted to stay here. I used to be so bitter and angry with him because of aunt Macy's death but he wasn't the one who had her killed. He wasn't the one who pulled the trigger either.
My internship was going well. I loved interacting with the patients and advising them on how to eat, exercise, and practice a healthy lifestyle. It put a smile on my face and gave me a sense of satisfaction.
Marco was such a dominant, possessive, and controlling man. He was always telling me what to wear and what to eat. I never listened to him. I would always do the opposite.
I completed the assignments and shut my laptop down. Marco did get me a new phone seeing as he had flushed my previous phone down the toilet. I needed to call Tory because it's been so long since I've heard from her.
I got up from my computer desk and went into the bathroom to take a shower.

"Loren, are you in there?" I asked as I knocked on her bedroom door. She had said that she wanted to talk to me about something.
"Loren?" I called but she didn't respond.
I saw that the door was ajar so I pushed it and stepped inside. I was shocked by what I saw. Luca was slouching on the couch while Loren was on her knees between his legs sucking his dick. My mouth was agape as I stood there staring at them with my hand over my mouth. I had no idea that they were seeing each other. I knew that they were closed and she would often hang out with him, Lorenzo, Ricardo, and Salvatore.
They both stared back at me. Luca had a stoic expression on his face while Loren looked a bit surprised.
I said the first thing that came to my mind. "I'm so sorry. I knocked but I didn't hear anyone and the door was opened."
I briskly walked out of the bedroom before either one of them could say anything to me.
I closed the bedroom door quietly and went out on the balcony. I stood looking out when I heard a text message come in on my phone. It was from Marco, stating to me that he'd be home late and I shouldn't wait up for him as if I was ever going to wait up for him.
"Kelly, I'm sorry, I honestly didn't hear you knocking on the door," Loren said to me.
I turned around to face her. "It's fine, Loren. I'm just a little bit surprised because I didn't know you two were dating."
"Do you mind?" She asked before proceeding to lit the cigarette that she was holding in her hand.
I shook my head. "No, I don't mind. I thought that you had quit smoking. It's bad for your-."
She interrupted me before I could finish what I was saying. "I know what you're gonna say, Kelly. It's bad for your health blah, blah. It will give you lung cancer blah, blah. That's what mom would've said too. Whether I smoke or not, I'm still gonna die one day." She shrugged nonchalantly.
She took a draw, exhaled, and continued speaking. "We're not dating, Kelly. More like fuck buddies." She smiled at me.
"Oh, I didn't know," I said, sounding surprised.
She nodded at me. "He understands me and I understand him. He cares for me and I care for him. We have a lot in common. We both love tattoos, weed, reggae music, and alcohol and we both lost our moms. Plus he saved me from Mason's crazy ass." She took another long drag from the cigarette and looked out the balcony.
