Chapter 8: Earlier from heaven, now from hell

Third Person's POV

The white haired girl dodged a bullet that nearly blew her whole arm off, but Akali didn't came out unscathed. A small cut opened after the said bullet shot faster than the eye could see, it's reaction time looking almost as if it was delayed seeing as it couldn't keep up with the speed of the said bullet.

She clicked her tongue as the sting was sinking in, but it was but a mere scratch. She had no time to dilly-dally as another hundred of angels descended from the skies.

"No......it's not safe to assume that Michael sent this much angels to kill me. He might be the strength of God, but he's not irrational enough to waste choirs and choirs of angels like this."

Her speed exceeded those of her current foes, making it seem to her that time was slowing down every time she dodged their attack. She of course took advantage of this and fired her critical hits as much as she could for a short period of time. It was indeed working, but it's not enough to wipe out a forest swarming of them.

Akali already had exorcised a couple of curses on her own, but it was unusual that she seen not one of her teammates or any player of the opposing team. It was as if she was alone and it made her extremely suspicious.

"Wow......that's plenty."

She thought as her fist casually shot to her left and punched an angel that was accompanied with one bullet going through it's skull. She thought "I guess I killed so much angels that I somehow leveled up."

Suddenly, everything considerably darkened. The angels were descending like they were flies that just got sprayed by bug spray.

"This is bad........it reeks of cursed energy."

One angel tried it's best to raise it's arm against Akali, but she only crushed it with her heel as she walked away from the scene.

"Is it a curse or a demon? I can't even tell clearly........"

To her, demons have cursed energy that feels much more......condensed compared to curses, and that is the ONLY identification that can differ them to curses. That and other than the fact that they were once fallen angels and the lot of their history.

But this cursed energy on the other hand, was strong enough to be classified as a demon's energy.......but also not at the same time. It was hard to describe specifically because it's just something she feels in the pits of her stomach.

"All the angels have died out in a matter of minutes......I have to be careful."

Akali continued to have her guards up strong and staying alert. Her ears perked up while she ran and killed any angels left on her path. The look of disdain on her face was evident as she passed the fallen corpse of angels around her.

As soon as she got close the source of the sound, she hid behind trees to first scout what was unfolding before her. It was Fushiguro and Maki fighting off a curse. It was exceptionally stronger than any boss she fought before, she could feel it just by the amount of cursed energy it emitted.
