From their cuisine to Continental, Indo - Chinese love everything. Rice and Fish are considered a staple diet by many Bengalis. Every Bengali dish is incomplete without sweetness and spiciness. A typical Bengali meal consists of rice and fish without it the meal is considered incomplete. In every Bengali house fish is stored. On every occasion, one of the menus considers fish. Without fish, any meal or celebration is incomplete in a Bengali family. Panch Phoron (also called panch phoran or paanch phoron) means "five spices." It is a spice blend commonly used in Eastern India and Bangladesh and consists of the following seeds: Cumin, Brown Mustard, Fenugreek, Nigella, and Fennel. The principal medium of cooking in a Bengali house is mustard oil. A Bengali meal in a home considers of bhat(rice),dal(lentils),a side dish to eat with lentils, tarkari(vegetables),macher jhol(fish curry).
