Bengal has one of the most diverse cultures and cuisine. In Bengali culture, we have Saraswati Puja. we also celebrate Dol which is Holi the festival of colors. Bangla noboborsho is celebrated on 15 th April every year. Bangla Noboborsho means Bengali New Year. It is celebrated with fair, tablos, cultural programs in Bangladesh. Then we have the festival of Annapurna Puja which is considered one of the characters of Goddess Durga. In October we celebrate Durga Puja which is Considered one of the biggest festivals. Then we have Deepawali on this day many Bengalis do Lakshmi Puja instead of on the day of Lakshmi Puja. During Durga Puja from Saptami to Nabami, most of the Puja Pandals hold eating. On the day of Ashtami, many give Anjali and sandhi puja and eat vegetarian as it is considered auspicious. Durga Puja means when Goddess Durga arrives at her residence with her children Ganesh, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Karthik from her in-laws i.e the house of her husband God Shiva in Kailash. On the night of Deepawali, we also do Kali puja on the character of Goddess Durga. In the next segment, we will learn about Bengali cuisine.
