if i missed you would it be unfair?
i think so
- sam

"Sam's the one who killed 'imself right?" Sapnap asks, perched on the edge of Dream's bed.

"Yeah.." George hums, reading over his friends shoulder, "so he's the one that did the terrible thing that gave him all the guilt."

Dream nods from where hes twirling himself around on his office chair, "That makes sense, considering what the letter says."

"So who is 'you' in this context?" George asks, more to himself than the others.

"Maybe that Ponk guy? The one who died in his sleep?" Dream inputs.

"That would make sense." Sapnap agrees, "'cause that Foolish guy was like 'hE dEsErVeD tO diE oF oLd aGe' and shit."

"Okay so something tragic happens to Ponk 'cause of Sam.. And he feels so guilty that he kills himself." George sums up, "I think we should make a timeline, make this a proper investigation."

The youngest snorts, "we havent even read all the letters yet, maybe it explains what happened."

Dream stops spinning and picks out another letter, unfolding it. "Thats true, its a good idea though Gogs."

"My name is George."

"Okay!" the blonde clears his throat. "September fourth, 2020. Dear you, i watched to all the boys i loved before today."

"Hey!" Sapnap sits up slightly straighter, "thats the movie my dad's are obsessed with, the one with the girl who wrote all the letters to her crushes."

His two friends blink at him.

"The really old one?! Oh come on guys!"

"I think it sounds cringy." George decides, leaning against the wall next to the blondes bed.

"Maybe we should watch it?" Dream tilts his head, "y'know so we really understand whats going on?"

"Now?" Sapnap frowns, pulling a disgusted face.

"Yeah, why not?"

"Well you should at least finish the letter first." the ravenette huffs, folding his arms.

"Well i was going to, dickwad!"

"It didnt look like it, dickwad."

"Guys!" George groans, "just read the goddamn letter so we can watch the old, cringy movie."

"Fine." Dream huffs, Sapnap grumbling something  under his breath.

"i don't usually like those movies, but it's similar to me writing to you. I don't think I'll ever send these letters. I cant hurt you more, I won't hurt you more..

- Sam."

Dream looks like hes about to cry. George snorts, "oh please, its your own fault, don't go crying about it."

The blonde sniffs, "but- but it's.."

"Lets just watch the movie." Sapnap frowns, lips downturning.

George turns to his ravenette friend, tilting his head. "Why are you so excited to watch this supposedly romantic film anyway?"

Said boy pouts, swivelling and crossing his legs so he's facing the brunette more. "I'm not, I just.. want to understand what the letters are going on about."

"Sure." George doesnt sound convinced. "I think those dads of yours have made you soppy."

Sapnap is quick to rush to their defence, "and so what! Its okay so be soppy sometimes." he pouts.

George snorts, "okay."

"So its agreed." Dream interrupts, recovered from his sniffle-fest. "We'll watch the old cringy movie."

"Yup." Sapnap is suddenly grinning, "we will."

George groans but doesn't protest as Dream gets his laptop from where its on charge next to his desk and props it up on a pillow at the edge of his bed; Sapnap moving out of the way to slump on the blondes pile of soft pillows on the other end.

Dream has a queen sized bed, so the three can curl up on one end decently comfortably, but George still finds himself pressed between his two friends, Sapnap having no idea what personal space is.

Dream types something into the laptop and soon enough the beginning of the movie is playing, the vintage introduction of any movie from that era showing on the screen. "2018 sure was something." Sapnap smiles, tilting his head so his nose was practically touching George's.

The brunette groans in disgust at the ravenettes atrocious-smelling breath, pushing himself as far away from him as he can, inevitably pushing himself into the legs of Dream, who was trying to wriggle under the massive pile of blankets the blonde owned.

"Save me Dré." the brunette groaned again, pressing his face into his friends side, trying to escape Sapnap's disgusting snorts of laughter.

The blonde just chuckled, flushing slightly as he lightly pushes his friend back to the middle as he finally manages to lie down, propped up against the pillows behind them.

"Shh, we're watching the movie now." Sapnap mumbles, George making a point of wrinkling up his nose.

"Its not even started ye-"

"Shhh!"

"Stop shush-ing!"

"You stop shush-ing."

"You can shush both of you!"

Theres a pause.

"Shh!"

"I DIDN'T EVEN-"

Dream sighs.
