The three sit on the floor of the boys toilets, squinting at Dream's holographic phone.
"Okay so a yandere is someone who appears loving at first and then turns psychopathic?" Dream squints, "well if that was a thing no wonder therapy was popular back then."
"I think its more fan-fiction-y." George replies, reading through the article.
"Well thank fuck we arent in a fanfiction." Sapnap laughs.
The author clears her throat.
"So that makes Sam a not-that-great-a person," Dream continues, ignoring Sapnap.
George rolls his eyes, "or just, y'know, a psychopath."
Dream huffs, "but thats according to the therapist, and thats only one person."
"If anyone would know its the therapist." George argues, "isnt she supposed to be like, a professional?"
"Ladies, ladies." Sapnap sticks out a pair of hands between the two, despite neither attempting to fight the other physically. "Lets just agree he's a strange man."
George huffs but nods, while Dream just shakes his head in disbelief silently.
"Lets read the next one." the ravenette continues.
"Okay." George reaches into the box to grab the next letter after Dream doesnt respond, ready to clasp his fingers around it when theres a loud bang as the door slams open. George quickly drops it and Sapnap goes to shut the box, almost slamming it on George's fingers in the process, causing the brunette to glare at him.
"Karl!" Dream grins, the only one not startled when the other had burst in, and the purple-eyed boy blinks at them in confusion before smiling himself.
"Hey.. What you guys up to?"
Sapnap winces and George averts his gaze, while Dream is the only one who doesnt look somewhat embarrassed. "Oh, Karl guess what!" the blonde smiles, gesturing the brunette over and snatching the box out of Sapnap's hands before he can do anything.
Karl wanders over and plops down next to him, so Sapnap shuffles over so he has more room to see the box in Dream's hands. George squints when he thinks he sees something alike to hurt flash on Karl's face, before its gone again and the brunette is looking at it with a curious smile.
"What is it?" he asks.
Dream grins, excited to have someone who's showing some actual curiosity in it instead of apparent false disinterest and George frowns.
"Okay you know that haunted house on the hill?"
Karl thinks for a second, then nods, confusion visibly growing on his face. "Yeah...?"
"So i may have gone inside." Dream says, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly as Karl gasps. "Its okay though! 'Cause i found this box, right? With a bunch of old-"
Theres a loud crash outside and all the boys attention is immediately drawn to it. Sapnap snatches the box out of Dream's hands and hides it behind his back, while George dashes into a cubicle.
Karl and Dream however, are too slow to do anything.
"Boys!" a tall figure stands in the doorway and Sapnap cringes, wandering over to stand infront of George's cubicle so the brunette could discreetly grab the box before its seen by the man in the doorway.
"Hey Dad."
Mr. Halo — aka all of the boys math's teacher — watches them all with narrowed eyes, before finally setting on his adopted son. "Sapnap." he says, scarily calm.
Dream gulps.
"Dad." Sapnap repeats.
"What are you doing?"
Sapnap sends a look to Dream, who shrugs, looking apologetic. "Nothing." the ravenette continues, "just.. in the bathroom."
"Aren't you boys supposed to be in detention.. Except from Karl of course." the teacher turns to the brunette, "if you know what's good for you i wouldn't hang out with these boys.. They know how to get in trouble."
Sapnap internally groans as Karl shuffles awkwardly.
Bad turns back to Sapnap, before scanning the room. "Where's George?"
"He didn't want to leave detention." Dream pipes up, "he's still there."
Bad hesitates before nodding, "he always was the sensible one."
Sapnap has to hold back from rolling his eyes as he hears a quiet snigger from the cubicle behind him, luckily not quite loud enough for his dad to hear.
"Karl I assume you're in school for an art project?"
"Yes sir."
"Then I suggest you go back to that." it doesn't sound like much of a suggestion, so Karl just gives them a meek smile before walking out as Bad moves out of the doorway.
"And you two." Bad sighs, eyeing them warily, "I'll take you back to George."
Dream's eyes widen and he shakes his head while Sapnap freezes up. "Oh no! Ba-sir, it's totally fine you don't need-"
"No no, I insist." he smiles toothily, "I'll take you back to detention."
Sapnap gulps.
