"Okay, Miss Swan, lay down if you please." He directs to the small couch by a marble wood desk and leather chairs embolden with wood. They went to the study instead. The hallway isn't a very wonderful place for events such as these. As she lays down, Killian takes a knee next to her rubbing small circles with his thumb against her hand.
"I have this method where I extract magic and place it inside a small bottle where it's stored somewhere save. No pain nothing. Just a simple procedure." He explains as he pulls out a small dagger with a jagged edge and his name engraved on it. He waves it over her and a white light extracts from her, she breaths heavily as the light drains out of her and into the bottle. Her eyes fall shut and a weight is lifted off her.
A smug grin plasters his face as he stares into the bottle of pure white liquid. His giggles fill the room before a flash of black smoke appears making him disappear.
"I'm so sorry Emma.." Killian whispers in her ear before lifting her up, carrying her back to her room. He softly places her on her bed and kisses her forehead. "Sleep.."
Her eyes heave closed and she hears foot steps. "Wait Killian." She croaks.
"Aye?" He replies turning around.
"Stay with me?" She whispers. He nods, coming to her before crawling next to her. Her back to his chest, his arm over her waist. She hums, eyes closing, breath evening.
---
Killian paces the study, hands pulling at his raven hair. Liam sits on one of the leather chairs, reading through books about mythology as Red plays with his curly locks. It's been three hours since Emma made the deal and they still have not one idea of a plan of defence.
"Killian!! For Gods sake! Can you ever stop pacing it's seriously driving me mad!!!!!!" Liam yells.
"I'm sorry, brother." Killian whispers sitting down on the leather chair across from him and Red. "I just have no clue what to do about this war. Emma lost her only way of defending herself and all we have is this ink!"
Red sighs before their heads pop up, eyes wide staring past him. He turns around to see Emma, fierce look in her grassy eyes.
"You know, I'm able to defend myself in other ways not only my magic that ironically I never knew how to use! So I believe the magic would have been useless!" She spits crossing over to the table.
"Sword... Sword fighting. Do you know how to use a sword Emma?" Liam pipes in.
"I'm alright but I much prefer archery. Mother taught me when I was younger before she died. Later on, my father taught me the master of the sword." She shrugs, taking the dagger from the table, playing with the blade.
"Then we have ourselves a duel." Killian smirks.
---
They slowly walk around one another, swords in hand, breeze flying by. Emma waits for the right time to strike, back hand hit. He defends with slicing his sword against hers. He flicks his wrist making her blade spin. She takes a step back before whipping her sword again. Killian catches it; pushing the blade back with his forearm as help.
"Good form." He smirks before using his back leg to swing against her Achilles swiping her down. "But not good enough."
She clenches her jaw tight. Dammit; she curses under her breath as her sword goes flying. He chuckles moving the sword right by her neck. "Well darling, you aren't bad." She twists her leg, making Killian fall off her. She chuckles before in arming him and placing it against his neck.
"Well if I'm 'not bad', why did you loose?" She laughs. He shakes his head as se climbs off of him. He stands back up and the sound of applause brightens the room.
"Great job Em!!" Ruby cheers.
"Well brother, you need some practice!" Liam chuckles.
"Ha! You go at her and I'll be watching as you'll fall on your arse!" Killian revises.
The rest of the evening sun was used up with metal slashing metal, cheers, hollers and hoots. Emma goes against Liam twice, Emma winning both. Ruby duels against Liam and Killian, the brothers both winning with the slightest chance of loss. Ending the evening with one last duel: Emma and Red against Killian and Liam.
Of course Emma and Red win by pinning the two down, sword pointed at neck.
They guess, this battle won't be loss of nothing.
