It's a better place, better world, a better home.
It's been three days since she found out about her parents and she is finally feeling better about the whole thing.
It may have took her a while but she is better.
She is home.
Killian takes her on rides through the forests, walks through the garden and dances in the ballroom.
They know more about each other and they've grown closer.
Rebecca gets Emma to help her with things and she brings her to the painting room and library.
She finally feels like she has a mother that is there.
And Liam acts like an older brother to her. Caring and becoming protective. Which is funny to watch. When he yells at servants for doing things wrong for her or when soldiers pick on her.
"Hey?" Ruby says hitting her shoulder.
"Sorry just was thinking."
"Ah about everything right?" She asks. Emma nods. "It's a lot to take in but everything is amazing so far."
"And why so far? Why not forever?"
"Because Em, we don't know what the future holds. Anyways 'so far' sounds so much more exciting."
Emma laughs and Ruby joins her.
They were suppose to be getting ready for another ball but this is so much more fun.
"Wait why are we having another ball? The masquerade was very recent." Emma asks laying down on her bed.
"I have no clue. Rebecca says it's a surprise. Whatever that means" Ruby says rolling her eyes.
"Ugh I hate surprises." Emma says.
"Well we better get ready anyways."
Emma nods and they get ready again.
---
He spins the lilac in his hands, inspecting it. Enjoying the beauty of the little flower.
The air is warm and fresh, perfect weather.
He sits in the garden by his favourite tree a too a small hill. His spot.
His place to think. Breath and escape.
"Aren't you suppose to be getting ready for the ball?" Liam's voice says loudly making him jump a little.
"I should be but I need to think so..." He replies scooting over so Liam can sit next to him.
They sit like that for a while, silently.
The smell of summer is soothing and relaxing everything he loves about this season.
"Do you think father will ever come back for us..?" Liam blurts out.
Killian looks down at his fingers holding the lilac.
His father was very selfish but he cared up until now. It's sad but true. He cares more about the sea and he will always be like that.
"You know what? Even if he did, I wouldn't care to even speak to him. It's pointless. He doesn't love us anymore. He loves the sea more." He says bluntly.
"But Kill, don't you think he--"
"I don't care anymore. Mother loves us and we have a family now with Emma and Red. We don't need him."
Liam sighs loudly as he stares at the sky. Seems to be in a deep reverie.
"We should get ready." Killian says standing. Liam stares up at him.
He pulls Liam's hand up and he is standing again.
"It'll be alright brother." Killian says hugging him tightly. A cry escapes him and Killian rubs his back.
"We are okay." Killian says and Liam nods. They walk back down the hill and into the castle together. Always brothers. Always together.
----
When everyone and everything is prepared for the ball, many people have arrived and are all waiting on Emma and Ruby.
Mother is holding a ball for Emma's awakening as a Nolan and for finally becoming apart of their small family. Also Ruby for meeting Liam and as a wolf princess.
Hopefully the Nolan's will become huge again! With Emma taking over he kingdom again for the sake of her parents doing. Seems likely.
But at the same time it's a very hard to handle. However Emma is strong and hopefully things will get done.
"Killy?" Mother asks softly tapping his shoulder.
"Aye?"
"This is queen Aurora and King Phillip of Briar Rose." Rebecca explains as a young women with brown hair and hazel eyes--probably Aurora and a man holding her hand with also brown hair however blue eyes walk up to him.
"Hello. I'm Prince Killian Jones. It's a pleasure to meet you." He says bowing as they do the same.
"We heard a lot about you from Rebecca. You seem like a charming man." Aurora smiles. A smile appears on his and his mothers faces after her comment.
"Thank you. Now if you excuse me." He says nodding then beginning introducing himself to others.
A loud trumpet sounds and everyone brings their attention to the rounded staircase of the ballroom.
"Princess Emma Nolan-Swan!!" An announcer yells as Emma walks down the steps, smiling and waving to people. She has a tiara that she wore at the masquerade on her head. A big light pink dress with roses attached to the waist and some fluttering through the skirt.
She comes towards Queen and himself with Liam by his side. She stands next to Killian and slides her hand through the crook of his elbow.
"Princess Ruby!!" The announcer yells as Ruby ascends the stairs.
She has a Violet gown on that sticks to her curves and flutters out around her shins. Her hair is curled and her eyes are glowing green in the lighting.
She does the same as Emma and takes Liam's hand.
"Welcome everyone to this ball!!" Mother says loudly. "Tonight is special, perfect and exciting! We finally meet a famous one that not many of you know of. The name goes by---"
She gets cut of by the door slamming open, revealing a women with dark hair and a dress as black as the night.
"Well well if it isn't Emma Swan!!" She crackles.
"Regina.." Emma whispers.
