POV: Celine
I look down at my wrist, and god.
Its that early in the morning? Geez what a horrible site too.Ever since, he passed. I couldn't get myself together. Everything feels so different without him.
Mom now had to work full time and she barely comes home. It's getting tougher since I'm almost graduating. And I have plans of movibg out.
Although, I can't help but worry what would happen to mom once I left. She seems pretty supportive about it.
Nevertheless, I should start considering a nice course.I decided to start reading a book. And the book dad gave me came to mind. I took the book from my shelf and sat down on the day bed next to the window
"My tragedy, huh I know its sadder than it sounds." I sighed and opened the book. The paper was rough and burnt to look old.
"Until we meet again"
the text says as I opened the book. I expected something like "to my future" or something like that.•••
It was sundown as I checked the window. As I finished reading the last text, i flipped to the next page.
" See you in Rehab dear friend, was the last words I told to my now gone friend. As I sit beside his grave with a book and cornflowers on my hand. I say 'I'll wait for you, see you soon'. "
I closed the book, tears now forming my eyes.
'He has a son in new york. And I hope you get to meet him one day.'
