Possible Trigger Warning: Violence
The tailor had me stand as a scarecrow as he adjusted the extremely expensive tuxedo. He kept muttering things like "Jesus, kid" but I didn't know why. I was completely uncomfortable and I just wanted to go home and read. I had so much to read, since Michael had gotten me over 200 books just last week. Of course, it didn't completely fill up the extremely large bookcase, but I was more than happy to slowly fill my book collection.
I squirmed a bit, and I felt a prick beneath my arm. "Stay still." The tailor tutted. Sam had gone to get his own tux, complaining about how cheap the material is on most the tuxedos there. I sometimes forget how privileged we are, until I hear something like that.
I huffed as my arms started to ache. The tailor muttered something unintelligible. "Danny, you're still here?" Sam said, as he approached us with a tux. I nodded miserably. "What's taking so long?" Sam asked the tailor. "Well, there are many adjustments to be made." The tailor said dryly, frowning at me as if I've done something to cause this.
"Is there something wrong with the tux?" Sam asked. "No, sir." Replied the tailor, Mr. Schmidt. "So?" Sam prodded. "Mr. Danny Clark is a bit difficult to fit." Schmidt replied impatiently. Sam frowned. "Why?"
"Well, he has a difficult... physique." Schmidt mumbled, as if I weren't there. "Sorry." I muttered embarrassedly. "It's not your fault, kid." He sighed. "I'm confused." Sam said. "Well, he's just so tall and... small." Schmidt muttered, looking accusingly at Sam. I wanted to die right then and there. It seems people love commenting on others' appearances.
Sam frowned. "It's a bit rude to judge a customer, is it not?" He said frustratedly. "Indeed. I don't judge Mr. Clark, I'm simply making an observation." Schmidt muttered. "Well, I'd prefer it if you don't make unwanted comments." Sam said angrily. "Of course, sir." Mr. Schmidt replied. I held back tears as he finished up. I went back in the changing room. As I was putting my t-shirt on, someone pulled the curtain back. I almost yelped as I quickly put my t-shirt and cardigan on. "Fucking hell." I muttered.
I then turned to see who it was that just entered my stall. "So it really is you." He chuckled dryly. It was the guy who punched me on my first day. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I sighed. "I thought I saw you coming in here." He smirked. "So you think it's okay to come barging in on someone in a changing room?" I whisper shouted.
"What? You scared I might've seen something I shouldn't have?" He asked smugly. I felt my heartbeat quicken and I clenched my fists angrily. "Fuck you." I said. He looked taken aback. "You think you can just come in here and invade my privacy? You think you can just threaten me? You think you can just punch me for no reason? Why don't you just leave me fucking alone? Don't you have a life, you sad, miserable piece of shit?" I said lowly.
"I-" he stuttered. "Danny? What's taking you so long?" Sam called. "Never come near me again. Unless you want me to repay you." I muttered, and shoved him away from the door. I walked away from him and approached Sam, who was paying the tailor.
"Hey, you okay?" Sam asked, apparently noticing my extremely bad mood. I just nodded and he left it alone. The guy from earlier came out of the changing rooms a few minutes later and marched towards me. "I'm not done with you." He said angrily. "But I'm done with you." I replied. Sam looked back and forth between us. "Is Tyler bothering you, Danny?" He asked.
"You know this asshole?" I asked him, frowning. Sam raised his eyebrows. "Yeah, he's in my class. What did he do?" Sam asked, frowning. "Remember when I was punched the first day of school?" I asked him. Sam's eyes narrowed and his expression darkened. "You piece of shit." He mumbled, then punched him on his nose.
