Hardy sat on the bus. He was FaceTiming home while getting ready.

Dad! I got picked for the team this week! I'm pitching!

He had just turned 8. He was playing little league right now but he was learning a lot from Morgan and Ern.

"Wow dude that's awesome. I'll face time your mama and she can let me watch ya! I'm proud of you buddy" Hardy said smiling as he threw on an old T-Shirt,

Izzy had finally let him get a mullet cut in. His hair was dark like Hardy's, his was his dads spit.

Yeah and Koda got accepted to the play school in Nashville just down from Ki-Cole, that means I'll have all day to spend with the Twins

"Okay, are you guys okay for everything? I put more money in the joint account for you. I know I'm missing your birthday" he told her as she frowned.

He was having a hard time on the road this time around. He had been drinking a lot and the band had been keeping tabs on him for her.

"No, I wanted too. I miss you guys" he told them.

"I love you too baby, you're getting so big" he whispered to himself. Izzy hated seeing him looking so lost.

I gotta go get ready for practice! Bye dad love you

Take Koda! I wanna talk to your dad for a second

Izzy told her oldest. He was so tall for his age, he picked Koda up and carried her off to his room,

"What's up?" Hardy asked as he fixed his hat, he avoided looking into the camera.

How you doing? You've been quiet the past few weeks

"Alright, headed to Mexico City tomorrow so it's a long drive, I've been trying to keep up" he told her as she picked up her phone.

Have you been sleeping? You look really tired baby

"Izzy you're acting like my mom right now, I'm fine honestly I just miss you, can't sleep in a bed without you" he told her as she nodded. Hardy fixed the hat on his head again as he looked at the floor.

We miss you too, just think two more weeks and you're home for three weeks

"Then I'm gone for 7 months, half way around the world" he sighed deeply as he looked at her. She could see the pain in his eyes. "I just wanna come home"

I know I miss you baby, you can do this, two more weeks, I love you! So much, be safe

"I love you too Iz, give the kids hugs from me" he said as she blew him a kiss and hung up. Hardy sat in the room silently for a long time before he went to fetch some sleep.

Izzy was in the studio with the twins. She had much more time to try and write with Koda in play school. She had a few hours to spare before she had to pick her up. "Hay stranger!" The familiar voice said as she looked up. She grinned jumping up,

"Hay!" She smiled hugging her brother. He had been on a small retreat for the past week.

"I was in picking up some shit, I saw your truck" he smiled. Morgan had been working on another album. He had finally met a girl he was getting close with.

He was in Colorado meeting her family but Izzy hadn't met her yet. "How was it?" She asked him excitedly, he smiled.

"Good, she's sure got a big family, I was gone have her for thanksgiving, it's the only time other than Christmas everyone's together" Morgan told Izzy as he looked over at the twins smiling as he kneeled down to see them. They slept soundly.
