Third person pov
It was a bright and early Tuesday morning and at the honey-Y/L/N household a small child by the name of....yep you guessed it,Matilda,(don't worry, even though you act like a small child doesn't mean it's you),was running around doing her last batch of the chores unlike Y/N,who hadn't even started and sat reading the newspaper when there was only 30 minutes left until her wife gets home from a busy day of work.
"Y/nnnnnnnnn"the young girl nagged,
"Yep?"asked the older woman without taking her eyes away from the word filled pieces of paper,
"You've got chores to do"Matilda said,.....or well ordered sternly like a grown up,
"Ughhhhhh"Y/N whined "Do I have to do them?"she asked hopefully
"Yes,now chop chop"Matilda told the "adult".
Y/n,unenthusiastically,stomped away to go do those work filled chores,
"Sometimes I really wonder how she's the oldest out of the two of us"Matilda sighed to herself, shaking her head.

Y/n was currently cleaning the windows as she saw her wife in the distance from the kitchen window, her eyes widened.
She needed to get these chores done now.
Quickly.
She quickly ran the cloth along the window and took off running to do her next task.

Matilda sat in her bed, book in hand, candle burning, when she heard stomping feet coming towards her room,it was her mama, well she is yet to call her that.
"Get your shoes on,now"the older girl ordered
"What?why?"the young girl questioned
Her mama was already out of the room,so she jumped off her bed after putting her bookmark into her book.
After around 30 seconds both girls were running out of the house,
"Y/nnnn what did you do?"Matilda sang suspiciously
".....nothing?"the older girl replied, asking rather than answering,
The thing about Y/n was she was a really, really, bad liar, like really bad.
"You're such a bad liar"The young girl said,facepalming,
"Okay, okay,no need to be rude but I may or may not of smashed a vase while cleaning it"the older girl asked as they started speed walking down the drive way as Jennifer honey was walking up the street,
"WHAT?!"Matilda basically screamed,
"Shhhhhhh, you mom is walking up the road, she'll here you!"Y/n scolded
"Sorry, sorry"Matilda said turning her voice to a whisper
"Where are we going?"The young girl continues
"Oh the opposite direction from your mother"Y/n easily replied with ,shrugging,
"Whyyyy?"The girl questions,again
"Ugh you ask too many questions little one,so she doesn't see us dummy"Y/n said as they walked through trees, avoiding the roots sticking out the ground,
"Don't call me a dummy"Matilda huffed
"Sorry, what do you want to be called, smartass?"Her mama replied like a child, well a child wouldn't swear but you get it,
"You're not supposed to swear in front of me"Matilda scolded,
"Sorry"

Soon enough they came out of an opening which led into the main bit of town,Matilda swung her arms by her side, they spotted a cafe at the end of the Main Street and thought it would be the perfect place to hide out for a bit as the place had books for Matilda to read and coffee for Y/n to stare at and question life.

They both sat at the far table at the corner as there was less of a chance of being seen in case of an angry Jen stomping in.

Jennifer's pov
Where the heck are those two,I wondered as I walked through the house, checking the bedroom after the living room then the kitchen and then the hallway, nothing was out of the ordinary,or so I thought.
I heard a noise from beneath my shoes, like a crackle ,I looked down to see bits of broken glass laying on the wooden floorboards, omg, there is only one person in this house who could manage to do that,Y/n,not even Matilda can do that, not cause she's a bit too short to reach the window ledge but because she knows that she shouldn't touch any vase until I return to supervise her, even though Y/n is an adult she still needs supervision, this proving my point.
I bend down to look at the unfixable pieces of glass,if I'm honest this vase was a bit ugly anyway but I'm still angry at her,she had the audacity to leave with our daughter and not even clean up the mess she made.
Thank goodness I was still wearing my shoes or I could of gotten hurt, she would not of been ready for the screams of anger that she would return to.
I thought it was best to try calm myself down as not only had this situation annoyed me but what annoys me even more is the fact I am still in this hideously uncomfortable set of work clothes,I step over the broken glass and head back for the bedroom I place my shoes on the shoe rack as I pass by the front door as I go to me and Y/n's room (not for tonight as she will be sleeping on the couch),I strip out my dress that I wear to work during the summer and change into a more causal pair of comfortable bottoms and one of Y/n's hoodies with my top that I wear while lounging about in the house underneath.
I start my journey to the cupboard containing cleaning supplies that is on the other end of the house,I open the door to the cupboard and grab a brush,a bag and a pair of rubber gloves,I put on a pair of slippers that were sitting in the living room and head upstairs to the hallway where the broken glass is located.
I put on the gloves and open the bag,I grab handfuls of glass, gently,as we all know rubber gloves are not invincible, placing the broken pieces of vase into the bag and then placing down on the nearest table which happened to be to my left, the table had a photo of me and Y/n on our first Christmas together in a photo frame, seeing her cute smile made me calm down a bit, just a bit,as I can't be too mad at someone with a cute face like a puppy.
I sweep away any leftover small shards into a small pile and head back to the cupboard to retrieve a dust pan that I had forgotten, after collecting the remaining glass in the bag I go to put the bag in the bin/trash can outside instead of the one inside in case someone (cough y/n cough) hurts themselves by reaching into the bin/trash can to retrieve the label for a food dish to see how long it need to be cooked in the oven for as they never look before hand,it's actually kind of cute.
After that I can finally relax with a bit of alone time as I know Matilda will supervise Y/n while she is running away from the problem that she caused.
I sit down on the sofa in the living room with a freshly made cup of tea and a book planning to rest.
