Chapter 8

MIA POV

Next morning~

I couldn't sleep all night. I still couldn't process that I had been kissed by a man as handsome and perfect as Alex Marino. WTF Did Just Happen?! Ahhhhh!! Saying that I am ecstatic would be an understatement. I am over the moon. That was the first time I had been kissed. Well, apparently pecked, but its the thoughts that count, don't they? I was so deep in my trance that I didn't hear my phone ringing. A sudden thump brought me out of my train of thoughts. It was my phone, my second baby, which was now laying on the floor since I had left it at the end of the bed.

I picked my phone up and saw three missed calls from Sasha. Holy shit!!! I am dead. She will kill me. I guess I should say my last goodbyes right now. Just when I was about to call her, my phone rang again. It was a facetime. From who? The one and only Lady Devil. Sasha. I took a deep breath and accepted the call. Here goes nothing.

Bold represents Sasha while Italic represents Mia.

Sasha- WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN DOING YOU STUPID BISH!!! YOU USUALLY WAKE UP ON TIME ON WEEKDAYS, SO WHAT THE HECK TOOK YOU SO LONG? DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT THIS SHITS YOU PLAY ON ME GIVES ME A HEART ATTACK? YOU DUMBA-- *I cut her rant off*

Mia- Woah!! Hold up Ma'am. I was awake. I was just a bit-- into my daze, you know. Just thinking about yesterday. So sorry Sasha for scaring you but I swear I am fine. And I am not dumb, I am your smartass best friend, you know. ( -^- )

Sasha- Yeah yeah, I know. *eye roll* But what about yesterday? What happened yesterday? I leave for just a day and something or the other. Why does it always happen with me?

Mia- *Laugh* Eyy!! Its nothing that much. Well its a lot for me but not that important for ya. Well you know yesterday, when I was about to go to our secret hangout alone, I found Mr. Alex Marino infront of my yard. We hung out together and.... HE KISSED--- NO-- HE PECKED ME!!! NOT ONCE BUT TWICE!!!

Sasha- *blank face* So you are telling me you had been KISS for the first time?

Mia- Uhm...peck but...yeah? *Confused*

Sasha- AND YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT NOW? MY BESTIE HAD HER FIRST KISS!!! WOHOOO!!!

We both burst out laughing and fangirled about our fantasies. You know, every group of besties do that. After an hour long chat, something finally seemed to strike Sasha and she became serious again.

Sasha- But Alex Marino? Ain't he a gangster? You think he is safe? I don't really want you in any trouble you know.

Mia- Yeah, he is Greyson's friend so I guess he is a gangster or member of Blood Swans too. But meh, you know life ain't that long to play it all safe. It felt right and safe. So I guess I am gonna go with the flow.

Sasha- Ok. You know that I will support you no matter what you do right? Just stay safe and happy, BUT!!! If he breaks you heart imma break his 206 bones and make it 412 by the time he reaches the hospital you know.

Mia- THAT'S MY BESTIE!! WOHOOO!!!

We broke into another fit of laughter. Soon after we both went our ways and got ready for our university classes.

I wore a white top and black shorts with a beige sweater and tied my hair with a beige ribbon. I freshened up asap and then applied a bit of lip-gloss, some mascara and BAM! I am done. Simple-Dimple-Pop-It-Squish.

The rest of my classes and my entire day passes in a blur. At the end of the day, I had about two sets of homework pending for next week and this week hadn't even started. Its just Monday. Ugh!! I hate my life. Kidding! I love my life. I just hate my homework. I mean what's the point of homework if we have to complete half of our classwork at home and then take additional homework too. Just make us do it all in class so we can enjoy the rest of our day as and like we want. This way both us and the teachers would have the rest of our days free and they wouldn't even have to double check each copy separately. Rather they can check it all in the class. -_-

Imma never understand their logic.

ALEX POV

I spent the entire day at my office. Loads of paperwork. Tons of meeting. And a whole lotta more coffee. Well that's what keeps me going. Well that and the thoughts of meeting my bambi. She has been on my mind ever since our first meeting. And I don't mind it as much as I used to.

Greyson barged into my room once again making me wanna smack the shit outta him. I give him a 'are you serious' face and his serious face showcases me that it is.

Greyson- The Leader of Valor. He has gone overboard now. We kept him in check and warned him but he doesn't seem to know the difference between what's right and wrong for himself.

'What did he do?' I asked maintaining my calm.

Greyson- Well he killed our men who were on duty of the new arrivals and he stole all of our new shipment. *Rage was clearly evident in his voice yet unlike us all, he appeared calm*

'Well, we gotta do what we do the best then. Put him in place. Find his co-ordinates. Set up the meeting room and process the situation. We gotta show him that we aren't someone who he can mess up with.'

Greyson nodded and walked out of the meeting room. Another petty person. Another problem to my piled up load of troubles. I just want a break. A relief. A haven.

Haven. Its her. And now I crave to see her. To meet her. To hold her again. God knows how much my insides ache to have her by me, but I know it ain't the time right now. I won't deny it. I have thought long and hard. I do like her. I like Mia. My angel. Its a strange feeling to me but I know it is what it is. I can't deny even if I want to. But I no more want to. I will tell her what I feel after all this is sorted out and of course with the help of Greyson. Though he annoys me, he is my best friend. The only one who knows me the best.

I went on with my day with her all over my mind. Mia. You have taken over me. You have me wrapped around your little finger and you don't even know it yet.
