It didn't make any sense. I was just laying in my bed watching a show - how the fuck did I end up here?
These thoughts flew around my head as I walked out the door of the drop ship. Near me stood Wells and Clarke, if I remembered correctly, discussing how to get to mount weather. I started back as Jasper walked up to the pair, "Ah, cool a map," he said sarcastically, "They got a bar in this town? I'll buy your a beer."
I couldn't cover the smirk growing on my face. I loved that guy. I thought about his death in the later seasons and made a silent vow to myself that I would not let him meet that fate under my watch.
Wells was clearly not as amused as I was because after Jaspers remark, he grabbed hold of the raven haired boy's arm in a threatening manner.
"You mind?" Wells asked.
Around me I heard gasps and woahs as the I watched the scene unfold.
"Hey, hands off of him! He's with us," said Murphy, walking towards Wells and Jasper with a whole ass gang behind him.
"Relax," reassured Wells, "We're just trying to figure out where we are."
"We're on the ground! Is that not good enough for you?" Yelled someone from afar. I recognized not only the voice but the infamous line to be coming from Bellamy. He stood a few feet away with Octavia.
I remembered his douchebag mannerisms in the first season and felt inclined to roll my eyes. Even though I grew to love him, Bellamy was a pain in the ass for the first few episodes. From the wrist bands, to literally hanging Murphy, he was just annoying.
Hanging Murphy. Another thing to put on the list of things to prevent.
"We need to find mount weather," exclaimed Well who was now the center of attention, " You heard my fathers message. That has to be our first priority!"
"Screw your father," declared Octavia as her, Bellamy and a large group of people behind them came forward. "What, you think your in charge here? You, and your little princess," she scowled at Clarke.
Even though she was young, Octavia was extremely intimidating. Even more so in real life.
"Do you think we care who's in charge?" Clarke asked desperately, "We need to get to mount weather! Not because the chancellor said so, but because the longer we wait, the hungrier we'll get and the harder this will be!"
I couldn't help but think about the second season of the 100. Mount weather was a death trap - but I obviously couldn't tell anyone I knew about it. Plus the attempt to find mount weather would anger the grounders and start a full on war. I had to try to steer Clarke off this course before it was too late. I was never one for public speaking, but I knew that I had to say something.
I take a step forward, already regretting what I was about to do.
"How do we know that mount weather is even safe? Or that we won't die in the journey? I think we will be safer if we stay put," I speak out with a shaky voice.
Clarke looked right at me with a desperate glance, "How long do you think we'll last without those supplies? We're looking at a 20 mile trek, ok?"
"But... but we don't even know if the supplies are still there," I defend myself hoping and praying Clarke will back down (even though she probably won't), "I mean they could have been scavenged by animals... or something."
I curse to myself in my head. That little rant was so absolutely unconvincing I almost had to laugh at the sorry attempt.
"We have to believe the supplies are there. If we want to get there before dark, we need to leave. Now," Clarke responds in a strong voice.
Fuck. That bitch is very well spoken. I bite the inside of my cheek, feeling like a total idiot.
"I agree with the prophet," Bellamy raised his voice, pointing at me, "And I have a better idea; you two go, find it for us. Let the privileged do the hard work for a change."
A chorus of yeahs escape from the crowd. I hated to be sided with Bellamy in this while he was still in his gelled hair era.
"Your not listening," Wells pleaded, "We all need to go-"
He was suddenly shoved by Murphy.
"Look at this everybody - the chancellor of earth." Murphy declares in a sarcastic tone.
"You think that's funny?" Wells spat.
At this point, I knew I should probably intervene, but didn't want to get in the center of a conflict. I knew my best chance at survival would be befriending either Clarke or Bellamy. Both were the leaders as of now and both would fight for someone they cared about.
I knew that Murphy and Octavia were also two to have on my good side, but as of now that wasn't my main issue. Bellamy had more say right now than Octavia and Murphy was soon to be an outcast, if things played out correctly.
My little rant may have accidentally gotten me on Clarkes bad side (which would not be good for me in the long run). I had to fix that immediately as she would become the main leader of skaiku, and Wanheda, soon enough.
I was so deep into my train of thought that once I came back to reality, Finn just jumped right into the middle of Murphy and Wells in a fist fight.
Everyone watched Finn say to Murphy, "Kids got one leg. How about you wait until it's a fair fight?"
I wanted to roll my eyes and tell him to shut the fuck up. Finn was definitely not on my list of favourite characters, and him with his aggressive side part trying to play hero was getting in my nerves.
"Hey spacewalker," Octavia called out as she walked over to Finn, "rescue me next."
I almost gagged at her flirtatiousness. I had almost forgotten how cheesy some of the lines were.
Even though the comment was extremely cringey, it was enough to break up the fight. People were now going their separate ways, choosing spots, finding friends, etc. As much as I wanted to go with the hunting party (because I knew it was going to be fun), I knew I was needed here more. I had to try to make sure the rift between Murphy/Bellamy and Wells didn't get even worse.
Wells was already hated by literally everyone in the 100 and I knew he needed someone by his side. I was also the only one aware of the fact that Wells was not the reason for the death of Clarkes father.
I walked up to him, Finn, Jasper Monty and Clarke as Octavia spoke, "Sounds like a party! Make that five!"
Bellamy came up to the group, bitching to Octavia about how it wasn't safe, blah, blah, blah. I was more concerned on Clarke grabbing Finn's damaged wrist band.
"Were you trying to take this off?" She asked.
"Yeah, so," he replied, trying to seem cool.
I went to touch my own wrist band instinctively, but felt nothing but the fabric of my jacket. I looked down in utter shock as I realized I didn't have a wristband.
