On the walk back I finally got the energy to walk again. I helped Echo walk properly waiting for the potion to wear off. It soon became night time before we could reach the house. I just breathed heavily focused on walking. I noticed a sound coming from the woods ahead but I didn't pay much attention to it. "Are you alright to walk inside?" I asked bringing her to the stairs. "Yeah smartass" she joked holding on to the railing. Footsteps came from the woods appearing more into the open. I quickly turned in case it was a mob or something. "Nightmare?" Echo asked stumbling against the fence. He put a finger up for us to wait while he caught his breath. I just raised an eyebrow before stepping forward and poking him. "What the hell are you doing-" he asked glancing up. I waved a hand in front of his eyes before stepping back. "Are you not a hallucination? Echo can you see him?" I asked glancing back at her. "Are you high?" he asked standing up straight. I just stared at him for a while before the excitement overwhelmed my confusion. I quickly hugged him stuffing my face into his jacket. "Yeah I'mma get out of here before the crying starts" Echo said rolling her eyes. "Yeah get out of here bitch" I mumbled out. She turned to glare at me before stumbling into the house. "Okay okay, we can catch up soon just- Listen for a moment" Nightmare said quickly, pulling away from the hug. I just nodded stepping back a bit. He looked through his pockets before glancing back at me. "You dyed your hair red?" he asked narrowing his eyebrows. "Oh-" I said tugging at a strand of my hair. "No no I mean I like it I do-" he said chuckling a bit. I just chuckled as well starting to tear up. "I really wish I could do this in a more formal way but- I am so in love with you I-" he cut himself off just sighing. "Summer, will you marry me?" he asked relaxing himself more. I just covered my face before nodding energetically. "Yes- Yes" I replied confidently. He smiled pulling me into another hug. I hugged him tight before gently bopping him on the head. "Ow-" he mumbled pulling away. "Don't leave like that again." I said sternly. He smiled gently hugging me again. "Never again"
