More Betrayal?

   After a few more days of staying in Gem Kingdom we decided to head home. We were all packing up our stuff along with things Laylani ahd Violetta gave us. They were pretty much just medical items in case we were attacked. Me, Nightmare, and Echo all came down from the main building to meet with Iina and the others. The other day Aether literally begged for Ace and Dena to stay with us. We soon made it to the main square finding them by Violetta's shop. "Uggghh I hate all this traveling" Dena whined annoyed. "Well this time we're not traveling, we can take the nether portals again" Iina explained. "Are you gonna be alright Reliane?" I asked glancing at her. "Ah I'll be finnee, maybe a nether portal can be set up in my library so you can travel whenever!" she exclaimed giving me a smile. I just nodded slightly giving her a smile back. We stood around talking for a bit considering we had no exact time to leave at. After a few minutes a subtle rumble silenced our group. Majority of people around us slowed to a stop concerned about it as well. I just sighed worried it was another attack, right when we were about to leave a dangerous area. The sky around the gem dome turned dark as flashes of purple all bunched together. A lightning bolt struck right at the dome denting it a bit. People in the main square started to a run quickly causing panic. "God we can't ever get a breaak" Reliane said groaning. Aaron hopped back striking another lightning bolt at the dome. The weakened part of the dome turned blue signaling it was about to break. A yellow light shot up from the main building striking the barrier in the middle. It spread throughout the dome repairing the part Aaron broke. She hopped back again this time striking multiple parts of the dome. Thunder sounded from outside as Aaron's attacks started a thunderstorm. The top of the dome soon burst open allowing splashes of water inside. Aaron smiled then merged with a lightning bolt striking into the main square. "Oh I got this one" Reliane said smiling. Multiple knives came between her fingers as the lightning slowly uncovered Aaron. Reliane ran to Aaron quickly attacking before she can react. "I'll get the kids to the portal, if you wanna fight stay. If you wanna go I suggest following me" Iina said grouping up Aether, Ace, and Dena. "I'm staying" I said glancing at Nightmare and Echo. "Then we stay" Nightmare said nodding. "Stay safe you three" Iina said sighing. The four of them soon took off to the portal. "There was water, which means Maylene is here. I'll handle her and you two handle Jayne or Anton if they're here. If they're not then either help me or Reliane" Echo ordered. I just nodded glancing at Nightmare a bit worried. Echo soon disappeared as well leaving us alone. Maylene soon appeared above the barrier as well glaring at Aaron and Reliane. Nightmare pulled me ahead running through the alleyways. I caught up with him making it to the front gate. All I saw was fire as Nightmare was kicked back. Quickly thinking I hopped up kicking the person back. Jayne slid through the dirt glaring right at us. "Well it didn't take too long to find you" I said stepping further out of the gate. Jayne kicked off the wall blasting fire at me. I ducked under kicking her in the stomach. I rolled back successfully landing on my feet. She ran forward swinging at me once more. I hopped over her sword kicking her right under the chin. She groaned swinging out blindly. I tried to fall to the side but her sword cut me in the side. I let out a wince falling on my stomach. I tried to get up quick but the pain quickly overwhelmed me. Jayne walked up kicking me back more. I rolled through the grass seeing the trail of red left behind. She set her blade on fire aiming her sword above her head. Just as she was about to swing down a flash of purple went past my eyes. I groaned getting up to see the fight. Nightmare swung at Jayne cutting through the side of her dress. She stumbled back attempting to counter his attack but Nightmare kicked her back. He threw the sword to the side grabbing her from the shirt. He continued to hit her dropping her to the ground. He used the fire to bring his sword to his hand and held it above his head. Jayne coughed up blood trying to crawl back. Nightmare blasted purple fire blasting her back then dashed forward to get a stab in. "STOP!" someone yelled closeby. Fire spread through the grass as Nightmare was pulled back. Jayne fell to the floor as the breath was knocked out of her. I glanced at Nightmare to see who had yelled. Ace held Nightmare back as he tried to calm down. The fire in Nightmare's blade slowly burnt out as Nightmare dropped the sword. "Ace" Iina called out running through the gate. Jayne coughed more trying to get up. Iina dashed forward putting a sword right at Jayne's neck. "Stay down." she said sternly. "Iina please don't kill her" Ace said tearing up. Dena stood at the gate as well just watching the scene. I assumed Ace ran from the group and they tried to chase him. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't want to betray Ace or my village but I have a contract with Maylene. I support their cause" Jayne said shaking her head. Iina just glared at her, no mercy in her eyes. "I only follow" she added. Water rose from the grass creating a cover under Jayne. Iina's eyes widened as the water turned to ice. It carried Jayne away from the scene and to the still standing part of the barrier. Iina just sighed dropping her sword. "Ace let go of Nightmare" Iina said turning to face them. He quickly let go stepping back. "Sorry Nightmare, I just couldn't let you kill Jayne" Ace said hugging himself. "It's fine" Nightmare mumbled adjusting his mask. Iina walked over to me checking the wound. "Would you be able to stand?" she asked concerned. "I've gotten cut worse then this" I said getting up. She put my arm over her shoulders just in case. "Let's check on Echo, Reliane, Noah, and Stacy" Iina said carrying me back to the gate. Ace and Nightmare followed close behind as Dena moved to the side to let us through. Sounds of fighting got louder as we kept on the main path. We got to the main square seeing Reliane and Aaron fight still. Reliane dodged Aaron's lightning then kicked up throwing more knives at her. One of them pierced Aaron's arm as she winced stumbling back. There were tears in her shirt showing that Reliane had already landed some hits on her. Nightmare dashed ahead blasting purple fire from behind. Aaron merged with a lightning bolt striking to the other side of the fountain. "Nightmare, the boy who successfully knocked me off the roof in the last battle." Aaron said sternly. Nightmare seemed hesitant to answer her since it was Day-Dream who had attacked her not him. "That's me" he said keeping his sword raised. Aaron just smiled merging with another lightning bolt. She landed on the roof above us as Maylene landed beside her. This exact scene seemed way too familiar. "Are you ready to survive a third flood?" Aaron asked raising her arms. Nightmare just glared at them ready for Maylene to start moving the water. Maylene just glanced at Aaron sighing a bit. A short pause caused Aaron to glance at Maylene. "This may be a little awkward.." Maylene said stepping to the very top of the roof. "Maylene?" Aaron asked turning to face her. She just smiled moving her hands together. "You trust me right Aaron?" she asked. "Yeah" she answered charging up lightning in her hands. Maylene smiled more blasting water above the roof. Instead of getting to the main square they came straight for Aaron. Her eyes widened as she tried to merge into a lightning bolt. The water mixed with the electricity creating shock through her body. Nightmare's eyes widened a bit confused of the scene. The lightning bolt striked Aaron causing her foot to slip off the roof, this scene seemed very familiar now. Loud footsteps sounded behind us causing me to turn. Noah slid against the brick quickly catching Aaron. "I apologize 'Chief' but this is my cause. You gave up your side of the contract when you died to a 17 year old" Maylene said smiling. The ice finally reached the roof bringing Jayne to Maylene's side. "For the past year I have planned this whole thing through, not you. So you can sulk with your weak Noah and the teenager" Maylene continued smirking. Noah stood up holding a grip on Aaron. Stacy came from behind as well to examine the scene. "Well Maylene you're forgetting just one thing" said a voice from behind. Laylani used the gem barrier to step through the air. "This is my Kingdom. And you are not welcome anymore" she said gripping her staff hard. The gem barrier flashed brighter as Laylani's eyes turned yellow. "We should go" Reliane said grabbing ahold of Noah. "What about Echo?" I asked. "I already told her to go to the portal, she should be there let's just go" she answered pulling Nightmare and Stacy with her as well. "We're bringing Aaron?!" Dena exclaimed running after them. Ace followed close behind as Iina carried me along. "You think you can beat me?" Maylene asked laughing again. "Maybe not, but I have people who promised to me they would. So now I'm going to buy them time" Laylani answered. Their powers quickly collided lighting up the entire sky. Before anything else happened I was pulled through the portal making everything white.
