Chapter 25

Three days have passed from the day of worst in Shen Wei's life. More worst than Zhao Yunlan got an injury because of her during the journey in the jungle. Zhao Yunlan already woke up from his unconscious after two days of surgery. Shen Wei insisted to not stay in the ward but she stayed in the ward of Zhao Yunlan days and nights till Zhao Yunlan awake yesterday.

And today morning she collapsed for her exhaustion from lacking her sleep and Chu sent her to rest at home while Mrs. Zhao and Mrs. Shen took over to take care of Zhao Yunlan in the ward. Luckily Zhao Yunlan is fine now. No critical condition like the first day after the surgery. Maybe because of Shen Wei's cry through the day and night, Zhao Yunlan can fight himself to wake up just after two days of surgery.

''Are you okay now, Weiwei?'' Zhao Yunlan asked to confirm as he saw Shen Wei came to the ward on that evening with Guo when his parents left him a moment ago.

Shen Wei nods and she lands a slightly kiss on the paler lips of Zhao Yunlan.

''How could you to ask Chief Chu to send me home. Why not you just let me sleep on that couch?'' Shen Wei whined while pointing towards the couch in that ward.

Zhao Yunlan laughs but then he coughs to feel the pain in his chest. Why not when that bullet directly went through his chest and almost hit his heart. Luckily that bullet didn't go through his heart. Or else, he may die on the spot.

''Don't laugh! You may hurt your chest,'' Shen Wei whined again and Guo giggles to see the worry face of her sister-in-law to her brother.

''You made me laugh, Weiwei,'' Zhao Yunlan said as he calmed down from the cough.

Shen Wei sighs.

''Ah Lan,'' Shen Wei adorably whined again.

''Okay, okay! I just want you to rest and sleep longer without thinking of me at here. Chang, did she sleep enough?'' Zhao Yunlan asked to Guo as he told to Shen Wei.

Guo nods.

''She just woke up at 5 pm, gege. As she woke up, she directly took her shower and rushed to here. But I asked her to wait and said I want to follow. So, while waiting for me to get ready, I asked her to have a meal first and she did when I got ready longer than she thought,'' Guo said made Shen Wei widens her eyes.

''You lied to me for your change?'' Shen Wei surprisingly asked.

Guo grins.

''If I didn't do that, you will skip your meal again, jiejie. I don't want to see you fall to sick just because you want to take care of gege. You know gege still has me, mom, dad, your mother and even Chu ge who came here to help you to take care of gege. But you, if you are sick, gege will be worried on you and his wound will not be healed because of that, you know!'' Guo said her words that she held for these few days.

Shen Wei looks at Zhao Yunlan as she heard those words. Zhao Yunlan nods agreed with Guo's words. Shen Wei can't help to sigh again.

''Okay, okay! I will take care of myself and will not neglect my health too,'' Shen Wei promised.

''That's my wife! I love you, Weiwei!'' Zhao Yunlan said with his happily smile.

Shen Wei smiles back.

''I love you too, Ah Lan. Well, did you eat your meal in this evening?'' Shen Wei asked.

Zhao Yunlan shakes his head.

''Maybe a little bit time they will send the evening meals,'' Zhao Yunlan told as usually the hospital will send three times meals a day in the morning, afternoon and evening.
