Not only friends? Yoru x Phoenix (Valorant)

Chapter 5

Phoenix slowly opened his eyes. Light was shining directly in his eyes. He blinked a few times to get used to the bright light. As soon as he could see properly again, he sat up. The man sat slowly up and rubbed his eyes. After he fell unconscious he's still very tired even if he had enough sleep. He looked around to see where he was. 'Oh, I'm in one of sage's bed where I used to be after mission', he thought. His sense where saying someone was near him so he turned his head to the other side. There sat Yoru with eye bags. He didn't really look very well for someone like him. 'Was he worried about me?', the thought about Yoru being worried about him made his heart beat faster. He stared a bit at Yoru. The boy in front of him didn't really looked comfortable in his chair. On his cheeks was something dried out. 'Did he cry?', Phoenix started to worry.

A few days before Phoenix woke up

"Is he going to be fine!?", Yoru asked stressed. "Yea, I think so", Skye answers him and looked down to Phoenix. She managed to bandage him up so the bleeding will stop for a short time. She didn't knew for how long but for now it should be fine. "Sage will heal him so that he can rest and get well soon", she gave him a small smile. Even tho she knew he wouldn't smile back, she saw that Yoru cared about Phoenix. The rift walker took a sit next to Phoenix. He watched the other boy's breathing. It was slowly. Like he wouldn't exist soon anymore. Just die here and then in front of Yoru's eyes. This thought made him shake in fear. 'Don't die Jamie. Please, I can't see you like this', his breath got faster and unsteady. Skye turned around to him with worried eyes. As soon as she saw that he will get an panic attack, she ran toward him. "Hey, everything is fine. He is strong. You will see him soon again. Fit and happy", she tried to calm him down a little bit. "Breath in and breath out. Match my breath. Breath in and breath out", she showed him her slowly but steady breaths. He tried to follow her but he hiccuped a few times while he tried to slow down his breath.

Present time

"I healed him up for now, Brimstone", the healer said to her captain. "When will he wake up, Sage", he asked her. "It depends how long he's unconscious", she replied to his answer. "We can only hope that he will wake up soon. Yoru doesn't look good since Phoenix is unconscious", the captain sighed after his own sentence. "That is true. I'll check on him now", the captain nodded to her sentence. Sage then walked out and closed the door behind her.

When she stood in front of the door where Phoenix and Yoru were inside, she saw that Phoenix was awake but Yoru looked worse than before. She frowned and Phoenix turned his head to her. "Well, good to see you awake, Phoenix", she gave him a small smile. "Could you rest for a bit? You lost much blood but now you should be fine again. You're not going to go to another mission until your all healthy again", she gave him a death stare since she knew he would come home with a bruise somewhere every time. This time it was worser than normal but in the end he survived. Phoenix just nodded his head. The situation was to awkward since he only came home with bruises but now he could have died. "I'm going to check you again. But you need to stay here a few days until you can go back to your room", she walked up to him and checked his bandaged side. They heard someone groan so they looked at the person, who just woke up, Yoru. He slowly opened his eyes. His back hurt from the uncomfortable chair he fell asleep in an hour ago. Yoru looked at Phoenix, who was looking at him.

They were looking in each other's eyes. Sage had to say something so they would stop staring at each other. "Well, good to see you awake Yoru", she gave him a small smile. He just nodded and blushed when Phoenix gave him a smile. Sage was amused by this but tried to hide it. "I think you should rest Yoru. You have bags under your eyes. If you want I can get you a bed next to Phoenix since you waited for him to wake up", she said calm. When Phoenix heard that Yoru stayed by his side since he got unconscious, the boy blushed. Even tho he could think of that because of his bags under his eyes, he still couldn't believe it that this is true and not a dream about Yoru carrying about him. "I'm fine", Yoru lied. He didn't want to look more suspicious since he never cared for someone at the valorant headquarters really before. Only Phoenix. 'This is just for him', Yoru thought. "If you say so. I'm heading back now. I checked him up already. And if you need me you can press the red button over Phoenix's bed. You too Phoenix", after that she walked out of the room. Now they were alone. Together.

Both of them didn't say anything to each other. The silence was uncomfortable for Phoenix. "Hey bruv, did you sleep well?", he tried to break the silence. "No, I didn't", the rift walker replied and tried to stretch himself but failed since his back was hurting too much. "You wanna sit next to me?", Phoenix asked nervously. He was nervous that Yoru suspicions him because of his 'maybe little crush' on him. Yoru blushed a bit more from the sentence from Phoenix. "Yea, would be nice since my back hurts like hell and something soft underneath would be good", he said and stood up to make his way over to Phoenix. Phoenix didn't expect him to just say 'yes' to his request. Yoru climbed in the bed where Phoenix sat in and sat next to the boy. The rift walker was still sleepy since he didn't get enough sleep. The firebird noticed this so he laid down and pulled Yoru on top off him. "H-Hey, what are doing!?", he yelled and stuttered at the same time. "Sorry bruv but you need to sleep. I don't think that you got enough sleep. So why not just lie on me", he said and turned his face away of embarrassment. Yoru scoffed but made himself comfortable on Phoenix. He noticed where Phoenix hands were. Both of them were on his back to hold him tight. Yoru decided to wrap his arms around Phoenix's torso. This move made him blush and lay his head on top of him.

The heartbeat was fast from Phoenix. Yoru could hear it since he laid his head on top of Phoenix's chest, on the side where his heart was. Yoru hugged him like a pillow. 'I hate to admit it but I like hugging Phoenix. It's so comfortable', he smiled at his own thoughts. Phoenix hugged him tighter than before and smelled the cologne from the boy on top of him. It was very calming for Phoenix. Suddenly Yoru cuddled with him. Both of them blushed but it was comfortable so they didn't mind. After a hour of just cuddling with each other Yoru's eyes felt heavy and he closed them. He drifted off to sleep. His breath was calming and steady. Phoenix smiled at him and hugged him again before he also fell asleep.
