Friday

I was sitting in my room, watching reruns of Law & Order when Jack walked in.

"I'm about to go over to Sammy's house with Johnson. You wanna come?" He asked "Sure." I shrugged. I don't have anything else better to do on this Friday night.

I slipped my shoes on and walked downstairs.

I walked into the house and saw Sammy, Nate, Swazz, Dillon, and Tez. They all greeted us with a wave of "Hi's and hey's".

Hayes walked in the room with a cookie in his hand and he was looking down at his phone. He looked up and saw me then his eyes widened a little bit.

"Fuck." I heard Jack mumble to himself.

"Nicole?" He said in a hushed tone "Yeah?" "Stay away from him, okay?" "Okay."

Jack sat down on the couch, so I sat down next to him.

"Hey guys, Six Flags tickets are half off tonight. You wanna go?" Sam asked

Everyone agreed on going since their plan was to just hang out at the house too.

Madison, Jack's girlfriend, ended up coming along too. I don't really care, it's just every time I'm with them she's so clingy.

We all decided to split up into groups of two and walk around.

"Nicole, do you mind going with Tez? I was gonna hang out with Madison." He said with a pleading smile. "Sure. No problem." I said trying to sound happy even though I thought Jack and I were gonna hang out.

Tez is actually really chill.

I can relate to him and we have the same style of music and like the same things and stuff, so I'm glad I got buddied up with him.

After a while we spotted Johnson and Hayes at a little food stand, so we went over to say hi. They both said hi and Hayes looked a little happier.

We all decided to sit down at a table and eat.

We decided to make different groups because Johnson said he wanted to be with Tez, but I guess I can at least try to be friends with Hayes.

Hayes and I went from ride to ride for about 2 hours then he said he wanted to go on the Ferris wheel with me before the park closed.

We almost got to the top and then it suddenly stopped, causing the small seat to rock back and forth. I'm deathly afraid of heights, so I almost shit myself. I grabbed onto the nearest thing which happened to be Hayes' arm.

I heard him chuckle and I looked up at him. "Hayes, this thing is gonna break. We could be up here for hours." I said "No we're not." He laughed.

It started to shake. "Hayes!" I held on to his arm tighter "it's fine." He said then put his arm around me and brought me closer to him.

After like five minutes of me with my eyes shut and him telling me how we're fine, I finally opened my eyes. I looked at how beautiful it was and leaned my head on Hayes' shoulder.

"Isn't it beautiful?" I said "yeah, but not as beautiful as you." He said. I looked up at him, about to comment on his cliche fuckboy pickup line when I was cut off by his lips on mine. I didn't pull away either. No matter what Jack said, it just felt... right.

We both pulled away to the Ferris wheel descending. "You have no idea how much I've been wanting to do that." He said with his forehead resting on mine. I just smiled and looked down. He lifted up me chin with his finger and looked into my eyes. "I'm serious. You're beautiful." He said then placed another kiss on my lips.

We reached the ground and I pulled away from him so it would at least look like nothing just happened.

I got out with Hayes close behind me and turned to him. "Thank you." I said and he smiled back to me "Don't mention it."

We're leaving. Where are you guys?- Jack

We left for the parking lot and when we got there Jack looked surprised to see us.

He pulled me to the side for a second "Why were you with him?" He asked "Because Tez and Johnson wanted to be together so we let them." I said

"Did anything happen between you two?" He asked "No." I lied "Good." He started to walk back to the car.

I got in the backseat with Tez and Hayes, and Johnson was in the front with Jack driving.

All I could think about was Hayes and what Jack told me about him.

He seems like a nice guy, but I don't know if I can trust him. I've known him for about a week.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Tez nudged my shoulder "You ok?" He asked "Yeah."
