I woke up in my bed and memories of yesterday flooded my mind.

I grabbed my phone and there was a note on it.

You fell asleep with me on the couch, so I put you in bed. Text me if you need me. (Phone number)- Hayes

I laid back in my bed looked down at my arm and it was all wrapped up.

"Thank you, Hayes." I whispered to myself

Jack?- Nicole

I called Jack but it all just went to voicemail.

I dragged myself out of bed and went downstairs.

I got out a piece of bread and the Nutella.

I put the bread in the toaster oven and got out the knife to spread the Nutella with.

When I was finished eating I went up to my room to see if Jack had answered back. He didn't.

Why doesn't he understand that what he says hurts? He's the reason why I was excited about moving here, and all it did was make him hate me.

We've had arguments in the past that are worse, but why this one? Why did he leave me when I really needed him?

I can't even think about getting a paper cut without wincing in pain, and now, this whole incident got me to self-harm.

I tried calling him again.

No answer.

I left a voicemail this time.

"Jack please call me back once you get this. I'm begging you. I really need you," I said with a shaky voice. "Mom and dad are gone and I'm home alone. I really need you here. And I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I need you. You're the only reason I'm here." I said then it automatically hung up.

I started to cry because I just wanted Jack to be here. I don't want him to hate me

I wiped away the tears and just sat there next to my phone.

I woke up at 5:00 in the afternoon

I went downstairs and was pretty hungry, so I decided to make myself some Ramen Noodles.

The Next Day

Hayes' POV

There were teacher conferences until Wednesday so I didn't have school today.

Sam invited me to go to the beach with him, and was on his way to pick me up now.

He picked me up and we both headed over there.

"Sam?" I asked "Yeah?" He asked while checking his mirrors "Umm, you know what happened with Madison and Nicole right?" I asked "yeah." "Who's side are you on?" I asked

"Umm, I honestly don't know because Jack is one of my closest friends, but I also understand why Nicole would be upset. Plus, it's not like she intended for everyone to see the DMs." "Yeah, but it wasn't fair of Jack to leave Nicole like that though." "Yeah."

"I feel so bad." I said while running my fingers through my hair.

"Why? What happened?" "I don't know. I guess all the stress and stuff just got to Nicole's head so she cut herself." I said honestly about to cry.

"What?" "She cut herself. I'm glad I was there to comfort her." I said "That's terrible. Should we talk to Jack about it?" "Yeah. Of corse. Unless he already knows." "K. We can stop by later." "Sounds like a plan."

When we got there we both laid out on the sand for a while until Jack and Madison showed up.

"Hey guys!" Jack said with a smile "Hey." I said kind of surprised that he would show up.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked "Sam called me earlier and asked if I wanted to come to the beach with you guys, so I asked Madison and we both agreed to come." "Oh."

"Umm, can we talk to you... Alone?" I asked "Anything you can say to me, you can say to Madison." Jack said "No, Jack. We really need to talk to you alone." Sam said "fine." He said then told Madison that we would be only a second.

"Have you heard about what happened?" I asked "No. What happened?" He asked getting a little worried "Nicole hurt herself. She started cutting." I said and it was hard to even say.

"W-What?" He asked . "She said that with everything that happened she just couldn't take it anymore."

A tear slipped down his face and he turned around and ran to his car.

Jack's POV

"Umm, can we talk to you... Alone?" Hayes asked "Anything you can say to me, you can say to Madison." I said "No, Jack. We really need to talk to you alone." Matt said "fine." I said then told Madison that we would be done in a second.

"Have you heard about what happened?" Hayes asked "no. What happened?" I asked getting a little nervous "Nicole hurt herself, she started cutting." Hayes said

"W-What?" I asked and I felt a lump In my throat. "She said that with everything that happened she just couldn't take it anymore."

A tear slipped down my face and I ran to my car.

I felt someone grab my arm.

"Jack. What are you doing?" Madison asked

I just ripped my arm away and continued running.

Nicole's POV

I was in the bathroom just looking in the mirror.

A tear ran down my face.

"Why does he hate me?" I cried out "I knew he would be mad, but not this mad. I would take it all back just for Jack to like me again.

I looked over at the razor and there was a stinging pain in my arm just by the look of it.

Suddenly the bathroom door slammed open.

It was Jack.

He attacked me with a hug.

He held me tight and I hugged him back. It felt so good to hug him again.

He let go of me and grabbed onto my shoulders. He looked in my eyes.

"Don't you ever do that to me ever again! You scared the shit out of me!" He yelled then hugged me again. "They just--" "I don't care who or what they are. Don't ever listen to them. You're what matters to me." He said "You said you hated me and ignored me when I needed you most though." I said with tears rolling down my cheek

"No matter what I say or do I will always love you more than anything, Ok? You are my best friend and I will be here for you if you need me. I'm sorry I got mad at you. There's just already so much going on with people hating Madison and the last thing I need is another important person to get hated. " he said
