My Dino (Tsukishima Kei x Fem Reader)

Strawberry Shortcake

Your next few days went great. You made lots of friends and the teachers loved you. You were only able to accomplish that with the help of your brother, who with his wise words, told you to always submit your assignments before the due date. One of your competitors in the classroom was that salty Tsukishima Kei. You don't know what you ever did to him, but he made sure to make your life difficult. He was always taunting you and teasing you, calling you and your new best friend Hinata, short. But you, Hiroko Kinoshita, had a few tricks up your sleeve too. One tiring day, after Tsukishima made you run around him to get your phone back, you decided to fight back. You decided to steal his strawberry shortcake, which you knew was his favorite, since you overheard him and Yamaguchi talking about it.

'EY Hiroko, give me my precious strawberry shortcake back-' he said, but you ran off with the slice of cake. 

'Ha! Get that, Tsukishima!' you ran forward but being the giant he is, he caught up with you. He ran forward and held your hand, out of breath but looking quite impressed.

'You run quick for someone of your height~' He taunted. he hadn't realized yet that he was still holding your wrist, which had turned you into more of a tomato than you had become from the run. When he saw your eyes turned towards both of yours hands, he stepped back. Red was visible from his neck till his ears. He took the strawberry shortcake, and walked off with a fast pace. You could hear your heart beating as if it was about to explode. You turned and walked away in the opposite direction. What was that... Why am I blushing? Why is my heart beating so fast? Why am I still thinking about him? Were thoughts you were having while walking towards the bathroom. You got to smell his hair... His, sweet, strawberry smelling hair. Ugh! Why did he have to smell so damn good? And the way he held you, so tenderly, so gently, as if you were a doll that might break. You were expecting him to hold more aggressively, like bullies would.

And his eyes... the way his eyes stared into the depth of yours, the way his eyes made you feel like you were familiar in those honey orbs... I need to stop thinking about him, you thought to yourself. 

You reached the bathroom and washed your face. It felt nice to wash a sweaty face with cool water. It refreshed you and made you ready for the next few classes of the day. 

You and Tsukishima ignored each other the rest of the day. It was obvious to Hinata and Yamaguchi that something happened between you two. Hinata asked, 'Are you okay Hiroko? You know you can tell me right?' You smiled. 'I know Shouyo... Just... I will tell you when I'm ready. Thanks for being so caring.' You said.

You would have gladly confided in Hinata but the thing was, you have been betrayed before. It was something that happened in Middle School. You recall being best friends with a brunette girl. She was popular, friendly, and hilarious. She was the one who went and made friends with you but she was also the one  to betray you. You had a crush on one of the guys in your class and you told her about everything. She used that information to win over YOUR crush, and they started dating. It was a major heartbreak to you. You knew you could trust Hinata, but needed some time to get over the past events. They were still fresh in your brain as if they happened yesterday. You just needed time. 

When you reached home after school, you went into a deep thought. Did you like that salty beanpole? Was that the reason you weren't able to speak to your best friend about just something normal? What was in him that made your heart explode in front of him? His hair. His eyes. His scent, A secret voice in your brain seemed to be saying. You screamed into a pillow. Ughhhhh, why why why? Why did the thought of him make you feel happy, and make you go red? Now you knew you couldn't hide it from yourself.
