Day 9: Germany

The countries men search the whole day. They scavenged as much of the surrounding areas they could but have had no sign of Prussia or (Y/N). Germany was beginning to grow nervous. With each passing minute, they could be getting farther and farther away from then, or worse. They could be in trouble with a whole horde of monsters on their tail with no way to fight them off. Or maybe, maybe they were already dead.

Germany didn't want to think about that. He wants to believe the two are more capable than that. They need (Y/N) more even right now and Gilbert doesn't have a country of his own anymore. Once he dies, he can't come back as the others can. (Y/N) on the other hand, will come back if she dies, but she'll wake upright in the middle of the capital where her home was located. And that was no place to be right now. Not when it's overrun with the undead. Which made him wonder.

If any of them die, would they also awaken in their overrun capitals?

"No." Germany slithered under his breath with his fists balled by his sides. That won't happen. It won't get that far.

He sat impatiently, listening to his men as they gave their constant report and order where they should go next. It was eating him alive just sitting there on the sidelines when he'd much rather be out there looking for his brother and friend himself, but he had to remain here at the German border with the other nations. Glancing around and seeing the others frantically giving orders to their men as they brought as many weapons as they could, they were not feeling any better as well. There wasn't much they can do on such short notice, but prepare artillery lines around (C/N) and possibly Germany. It was all up to Germany to draw the horde back. A few did stay with Germany, such as Italy and Japan, to support and fight along with him any way they could.

Some of the other nations did arrange for a pick-up so they could better supervise and prepare the surrounding fronts. Others even went back to their own countries, desperate to get away from the whole pandemic.

Being in many wars, Germany was well acquainted with fighting and battles. But this was certainly something entirely different. These enemies didn't have tanks or guns. Just a deadly, unknown, virus that if you so much as came into contact with them, then you were sure to end up just like them. If not, then at least dead.

A shaky sigh escaped his lips as he listened to his radio. If this doesn't get fixed quickly then there will be greater tragedies than anyone could ever imagine.

"General!"

"Sir!"

"Captin!" Many different voices came in all at once and talked over each other in panicked tones. Some even had gunshots fired in the background along with screaming and caused Germany to jump.

A loud static sound erupted from the radio, causing the others to turn their attention to Germany's radio.

"General Ludwig, they're coming!" Several more gunshots were fired along with shouting in the background was heard. "Oh god, They're here!" Then soldier on the other end shouted before an agonizing scream came from the said man. The radio was dropped with the man as the sickening noise played out.

A sound of squelching could be heard as the man's cries of suffering mixed in the calamity on the other end of the radio. Only their imagination could tell you what's happening to the man as skin and muscle were ripped apart by monsters. The man's screaming carried on until the putrid sound of hacking up blood could be heard. Hearing the man die on the radio slowly was just the beginning of the terrifying event.

The bloody war cry of the undead on top of the radio before and running off again was the real whipped cream on top. The cherry was the agonizing fact that those monsters would be arriving shortly. A nervous shiver ran through Germany's spine before he stood up and shouted, "Prepare for battle!" In a loud, booming voice.
