Interruptions at night

Tom had his beloved guitar, susan, on his lap, fingers strumming soft songs that he would make up and then forget, humming along to them. It was late at night and he was, probably, the only one awake at the time. As he played the instrument, sleep tried to take over his eyes, causing him to get up and go get some coffee. Tom didn't plan to sleep soon so it wouldn't hurt to drink some.

The man put Susan aside, got up and walked to the kitchen, the only light being of stars on the sky. He had saved up for quite some time and bought an expensive coffee maker from the internet and just got to use it. Selecting the "classic" option (very fancy, he'd say) he put the mug there and went to see through the window while it was being made.

He watched as the wind would blow at the trees and grass, gently tossing dead leaves to the ground. Until Tom heard a loud noise and whipped his head in its direction. Nothing. Well, he couldn't see much so there could be something. Approaching the Kitchen's cabinets, he swear he had seen something move really quick behind them, but as of further investigation of it, he could notice nothing besides the normal.

Tom didn't have the patience to be looking for something that probably never happened, so he just put it aside and got his coffee out of the machine. Walking back to his room he realized that it could have been something to do with the machine. It was way too expensive to be broken that easily, wasn't it?

So he came back to check on it, as anyone would do, only to encounter Tord getting up (why was he on the floor?) and muttering a silent "shit".

- Hm, Tord?

The man almost jumped at hearing Tom calling him out, turning immediately to be facing him, seeming almost surprised to see the guy there. As he saw no response, Tom continued:

- Why are you awake?

- Why are YOU awake?

The two locked eyes for a second, grey meeting totally black ones.

    - Well, I came to drink something and heard a crash - realisation steeped into his mind - that was you, wasn't it?!

    - Why would I be making noises out of nowhere, Jehovah's witness? - Tord answered.

    - what were you doing hiding here anyways?

    - I wasn't hiding! I just got here.

    - oh yes, commie just teleported into the room as I were in the corridor and would have seen. Makes all the sense of course. - sarcasm embedded into Tom's words.

    - it's not my fault you didn't see me enter before.

    - I would have heard you or something I'm not deaf or blind for your information!

    - look, I were doing absolutely nothing and you should go back to sleep! - Tord sighed and stomped away, leaving the other with no answers.

    - I wasn't even sleeping-

And the door to the norwegian's room was quickly closed shut.

    - this guy doesn't even make sense... - Tom mumbled while getting back to checking his machine.

If Tord's broken it he won't accept any apologies, does he even know how much that costed? He probably thinks it's one of those cheap ones that don't even work properly.

Anyways, Tom finally goes to his bedroom and continues to his peaceful night, this time deciding to stick to premade songs he already knew. He finishes the coffe and then proceeds to stay up until 5 in the morning.

Nonetheless he falls asleep almost instantly after getting his bass guitar onto somewhere he deems safe enough and only wakes up at 2pm.
