I was now in an empty classroom with a very angry and annoyed Jason. Apparently, while he was walking down the hall, he heard cries and ran in our direction to see what was going on, only to see me beating the shit of of Brittney. His words exactly. So being the good person that he is, note sarcasm, he dragged me away from Brittany and into this exact empty classroom.
"Why are you so mad? I don't get it."
I said, irritated.

"Because you were fighting Carter, and do you know what could have happened if Brittany's two other friends decided to gang up on you and help Brittany in the fight? You would have been beaten to a pulp. Three against one, yeah you would have been dead meat."

I rolled my eyes and got off of the desk that Jason placed me on top of.
I strolled over to him until I was directly in front of him, only being apart by a few inches.
"Brittany deserved it." I muttered.

"What could she possibly have done to deserve that? I mean you almost broke her freaking face, and I'm pretty sure you broke her nose and-"

"Why are you even sticking up for her?"I asked as I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Wh-what? I'm not sticking up for her, I'm just saying that you could have possibly killed her with all the blows to her face you gave her."

"You're exaggerating and like I said before, she deserved it."

"Tell me what she did to you Carter. Tell me what she did to deserve that beating. I'm sure she suffered a freaking concussion."

I swallowed,
"She-she said some hurtful things to me , that just kinda...caused me to lash out."

"Kinda?"
I glared.

"Anyway, what did she say?"

I let out a shaky sigh.

"She told me that I'm just like my mother...a waste of space, and that I should just die like her. I mean, maybe she's right. Maybe I should. Maybe I am just a waste of space and should just die like my mother...just kill myself-"

"Don't you ever say those words again." Jason interrupted and came even closer to me. "You may not realise but there are people that care about you. Just because you're going through some rough things in life doesn't mean you should just take the easy way out and kill yourself. Everything happens for a reason. Life screws you over all the time but the best part about it is that it makes you the person that you're meant to be. Don't take your life away just because you have negative people on it. They're not worth it at all Naomi. They're not worth a precious life like yours. Just because they don't like you doesn't mean other people dont. People care about you Naomi, and you need to realise that. Your dad cares about you, your two best friends...I care about you. I may not always show it, but I do, very very much. And I don't know what I'll do without you."

By the end of Jason's little speech I got a bit teary. I could tell that he meant every single word. It warmed my heart and gave me reassurance that just because life beats me down, doesn't mean I have to give up. I have people that love me to get me through it.
I wrapped my arms around Jason and pulled him into a tight embrace. He was caught by surprise but his arms was then around me in a few seconds.

"Thank you." I whispered. "I needed that."

"I'm here for you Naomi. Just remember that."

I love it when he calls me Naomi.

After school, I met up with Jason and we both went home together. On the ride home, I asked a question that has been on my mind all day.
"So what happened this morning after I left?"
