Yes I know, I'm a horrible author who left you guys hanging for almost 2 months. And what makes it worst is that this chapter isn't even long. But nevertheless I hope you guys enjoy it :)

The drive to Jasmine's house was nerve wrecking. My entire body was shaking with nerves as I nibbled on my finger nails.

"Carter, calm down. I'm sure everything is gonna be okay."

"And how would you know?" I sassed.

"I just do." He muttered.

"Yeah, I'm so convinced." I replied sarcastically.

"Why are you always so negative about things?" Jason asked. I could hear the annoyance and frustration in his voice.

"Because so far life gave me every single reason for me too think negative about everything. Nothing has worked out the way I wanted it too so sue me for being real and not giving myself false hope only to be disappointed in the end!" I yelled in anger.

"That's just how life is Carter! It screws us over all the time! And that's just something you have to accept. It's something that you can't do anything about. The only thing you could do is get through all the shit life throws at us and if you Naomi Carter can't do that, then I guess I've been over estimating you all along." He finished and took one last glance at me.

The rest of the ride was silent. We were both deep in our thoughts, well at least I was. I thought about Jason's words. He's right. Yeah I hate to admit it but, he is. But of course I'm not gonna tell him that. His ego doesn't need to be inflated any bigger.

My heart skipped a beat as we swung down Jasmine's street. I hope Jasmine is okay. Yeah she has been acting like a total jerk towards Logan and I but I still love her.
When we pulled up to the curb, I quickly jumped out of the car and scurried to the front door. I twisted the door knob and dashed through the doors.

"Jasmine! Logan!" I shouted, hoping that I get an answer.

A few seconds later, Jasmine and Logan stepped out from the kitchen perfectly fine and normal. Of course I was confused by this because I thought Jasmine was hurt or something.

"Umm, what's going on?" I asked.

"We need to talk." Jasmine said and took a step forward.

"About what?"

She sighed and looked down at her feet before replying.

"I need to apologize."

I deadpanned.

"Logan, why didn't you tell me this over the phone. By the tone of your voice I could have sworn that something was terribly wrong with Jasmine."

Logan chuckled nervously.

"I didn't think you would've come if I said that Jasmine wanted to talk so I faked the whole urgency act thing."
