Season 2: Chapter 6 "Split"

Kyle sits on the log next to Alyssa, staring at the fire. Then looks at Samantha,. She glances at him, then looks at the fire too. "How is she still mad? It's been 2 weeks since what happened." Kyle asks Alyssa. "I don't blame her, I'm pretty shocked my self, I mean you shot her brother in the head." She tells him. He looks at the floor then he nods. "Yeah, pretty intense huh?" He says. She nods.

Kyle stands up and walks to Samantha. She's talking to mike. He sits down on her right. She scoots closer to mike and continues to speak with him. "Look Samantha." Kyle says. Samantha stops talking to mike and looks at Kyle, mike does the same. Kyle looks at Leon real quick, he is sleeping. Then he looks back at Samantha. "I'm sorry for what I did, it's just when I was 13 and all this started." He hesitates

"My twin brother, Sammy and a man we found named James, they both died through the bite. Sammy bit James..." He stops and looks at the floor, then continues. "We didn't shoot Sammy, which led to a death. We learned that we need to shoot the person before he kills. We shot James, but Sammy got away before w... We could do it." Kyle explains. "I didn't want you or my dad or anyone else to get hurt like James." He says.

Samantha starts to cry and runs into the woods. Mike follows her. "Samantha wait!" Mike yells. Kyle starts to run after her too, But stops. Alyssa comes up behind him and taps him on the shoulder. "They'll be back, mike is fast and he knows his way around." She assures him. Then they hear a scream, then a gunshot. Kyle jumps and Alyssa backs up. Leon wakes up to the shot. "What was that? Wait where is Samantha and mike?" He asks.

Alyssa turns around and looks at Leon then tells him. "Samantha ran off into the woods, mike followed." She said. "Wait mike doesn't have a gun." Kyle says. Leon looks around. "He took my desert eagle." He says. "Kyle give me your rifle, stay here with Alyssa, I'll be back in a bit." He says. Kyle runs to his rifle and picks it up and runs back to Leon. "There's 8 bullets, make them count." Kyle tells him. Leon nods. Alyssa tells him which direction they ran in, and he follows it.

Kyle walks to his colt, he picks it up and checks his ammo. He has 4 bullets left. "Dang." Kyle says. "Whats wrong?" Alyssa asks. "4 bullets left." He replies. Alyssa looks around. "Do you hear that?" She asks. "Yeah, it's the dead, there here." He says looking around. Suddenly a dead walks out from behind the trees. Kyle picks up his gun and shoots. BAM! Blood flies all over the trees. Then three more come from behind. "Save the bullets, we gotta run!" Alyssa yells at him. Kyle looks back at the woods waiting for Leon to come out.

Kyle waits for a second then runs with her. "Run!" He yells at her. The start running the opposite direction Leon went and ran for about 10 minutes. They stop at a fence. "It's a backyard." Kyle says panting. "I'll give you a boost, the. You can pick me up." She tells him. Kyle nods. He walks to her. She puts up her hands for Kyle to jump on. Kyle jumps on her hands and she pushes him up. He flies over the fence and falls. "Ouch!" He says. "Sorry, are you okay?" She asks. "Yeah." He puts his feet on the fence, the reaches over to pick her up. She grabs his hand and pulls. After about five minutes of trying to get up they finally do. They run to the back door an open the door. Alyssa runs through, Kyle keeps the door open and looks up. He can see the smoke from the campfire. Then he shuts the door.
