CHAPTER THIRTY SIX: "What? So your some type of social hero now?"

METROPOLIS
October 31, 17:30 EDTHALLOWEEN HAD COME TO METROPOLIS. The streets were filled with decorations themed to the holiday with those celebrating, patrolling dressed in different costumes consisting of fictional characters to the heroes of the Justice League. The holiday was especially preferred by Katherine because it was the one day she could walk around in her suit and not be recognised as the Girl of Steel. With the addition of her glasses, no one saw her and thought of Supergirl, they just saw her as Katherine.
Her candy bag that was decorated with the latest Box Office titan's logo decorating the bag's material. A half eaten chocolate bar laid in her hands, and Alexandra walked beside her. Her best friend was dressed in a tight, black suit with fake armour placed over her shoulders. Her hair was tied into a tight braid and she had a quiver sling over her shoulder, bow hanging off her forearm. She was dressed as Katniss Everdeen, a heroine she had become increasingly attached to with the confirmation of a Hunger Games' movie being created.
"That's... dark..." Alexandra dragged out, looking to Katherine as the kryptonian adjusted her cape. "How would he ever think that was all right?" The explanation for the simulation had almost left Alexandra speechless, but naturally, she managed to keep talking despite her racing mind.
"It's Batman," Katherine struggled to say with a mouthful of food. "He doesn't need to explain his thought process."
Alexandra rolled her eyes. "Still, it's dumb." Her voice was cold, but she suddenly perked up not even a second later. Her elbow rammed into Katherine's rib, causing the kryptonian to yelp in pain before recognising where her friend's amusement had stemmed from. There was a group of kids dressed as the Team. "Pathetic," Alexandra spat jokingly, gesturing to the obviously homemade costume.
Katherine flicked the back of the girl's head.
They continued down the street, Katherine still recounting the experience with vivid detail. It was burned into a skull, especially the death of Artemis. "I have to go to therapy now with Canary every month too," she said, earning a confused glance from Alexandra. The girl hated the thought of a therapist, she thought it was dumb to have someone prying into your personal life.
"Seriously? Don't you talk to your Dad a lot?" Alexandra had her head tilted and her eyebrows furrowed with sudden confusion. She had always assumed Katherine had an extremely open relationship with her parents where they shared absolutely everything and kept zero secrets.
"Well, yeah... but he says I should talk to Canary because she has experience with psychology or something." Katherine exhaled harshly, stuffing the finished chocolate wrapper in her candy bag. "I don't know. It's all pretty ridiculous."
