[29 days later: Myah has 8 days left]
Confused on as to why her best friend didn't attend school that day, she goes to her room and gets some change of clothes, planning on going over to their house
"Hiyyih- You going somewhere, sis?" Huening Kai Kamal, Bahiyyih's older brother, questions as he leans on the door frame "Myah's" The girl replies in a monotone, entering her bathroom to change
"Why are you so worried then?" He walks into the room "Was she not at school today?" He adds, sitting on her bed, picking up the girl's phone as he starts looking for her conversations with Myah "You really spammed her with messages. Damn Jaleh" He chuckles, scrolling up
"And she hasn't been replying... Yep, that is worth worrying about- Ow?! What was that for"
"Don't touch my phone, asshat" She scowls at him, snatching her phone and quickly changing her password "I don't even plan on reading anything else-"
"Don't care, just don't touch" He rolls his eyes at her as they both walk downstairs "Just don't take too long, then"
"Mm"
[At Myah's house]
"Do you have everything? Your phone? Charger? Some notebooks to draw in?" The tiger cub-like girl asks her little sister in an extremely worried tone
"Yes, it's in my hand, in my bag, already took five with me" The girl answers, making her sigh in relief
"I really wish you would've told her"
"Told who, Chaeyoung unnie?" To this, the Son family shifts their eyes away from their youngest as they all look at the tall blonde with wide eyes of fear and shock
"And why is there an ambulance outsi- Myah?! Why are you in wheelchair!? Are you okay?! Oh my god, did you get into an accident?!" She runs to her friend in a panic, kneeling down to look at the girl in the eyes
"No accident, just an illness, Hiyyih unnie" The young girl smiles softly, gently taking hold of Bahiyyih's hands "I don't have much time left so I have to spend the rest of that time in the hospital" Tears start welling up in the taller girl's eyes as Myah caresses her hand with her thumb
"Why didn't you tell me...?" Bahiyyih asks in a shaky voice "I didn't want you to worry, okay?"
"Myah..."
The younger girl leans in, kissing her on the forehead
"I love you, Hiyyih unnie" Myah confesses, not romantically, no. She covered it up
"I love you too, Myah" Bahiyyih pulls her into a warm yet sad embrace, bawling her eyes out, snuggling closer
"Dr. Son, we're ready to take her now" A nurse interrupts "Thank you, nurse Yongsun" Myah's mother replies "Myah?" To this, the girl nods as she lets go of the love of her life
I'm sorry, Hiyyih unnie...
As the ambulance finally leaves, Bahiyyih turns to look at her friend's family. Noticing the blonde's gaze on them, Hyeju approaches her
"She'll be fine, Hiyyih... She'll be okay" Hyeju lies, in hopes of keeping her promise to her sister
"I really hope so"
