(A/N: Woah I updated! What a 4 months it's been. I don't have much to say but I do hope you enjoy this chapter. I plan to start uploading again, maybe 1-2 chapters a week. I also plan to make them longer and a little bit more different from the og story so you're not reading the same story again.)

Arthur POV:

After Jasmine sponsored me at the front desk and running into Kaspian. I knew for one that I needed to be ranked higher than A class, Hell even AA wasn't out of my reach. Though, if I'm going to aim that high, I might as well push for S-Class. When I brought that up with Kaspian he had given me a reaction as if I told him world changing news. I guess hearing that from none other than a child is still odd, even in this world. However, even with my mask's voice altering function and the aura I constantly give off, it's not easy to just accept I'm that of a mere child behind this mask. He finally accepted to give me a chance, however I'll be the very last examinee to go for the day, because the testing ground wouldn't be suitable afterwards.

Before we were ushered down the hall to the field, I asked Kaspian how I'll be getting tested. All I knew was that in order for an adventurer to become an AA-Class he or she had to face off against two AA-Class Adventurers, and last 10 minutes without be knocked out or calling quits, you didn't even have to win the actual fight. However, for S-Class I assume it'll be something greater that.

"Ahh yes, Mr. Note sorry for not saying anything earlier. You'll be ranked by how well you can handle an S-Class and two AA-Class mages, the time would be 5 minutes." Kaspian answered.

Simply replying with a nod was all I did.

I felt a ting of excitement come through me. Since not being able to beat that damned silver core from the auction house on my own, I had trained myself a little harder and stopped Regis from absorbing the Aether that was affecting my mana core. During the last 4 months of meditation alone, with the assistance my Aether core giving a 25% boost in my cores development I was now in the solid yellow. If I was somewhat relevant enough to hold off a silver core in my dark orange stage. I should be more than enough now, if not than equal to one in strength due to my skills, without my aether abilities.

With Kaspian leading us to the exam arena, I noticed multiple faces that were here last time, including two faces I could never forget. That damned Lucas and Nico.

'Hey, hey! Calm down will ya? Your damn mental temper tantrum is fucking up my training! Why are you in such a bad mood anyways!?' Regis hollered.

'Can you not yell either? I'm trying to sleep ya'know, and Arthur they hadn't done anything. The future is in your hands, so play the cards how you want. Even if two of your many least favorite people are here.' Sylvie said in a tired tone.

'Yeah I know, sorry for bothering you two. I'll keep my emotions in check.' I responded to the two.

However one thing that's on my mind, is who is next to Ni-Elijah? Even if it was a long time ago, I'm sure nobody sat next to him during this entire examination. Shaking it off I just followed behind Jasmine so we can go take a seat.

After a good 2 hours of mediocre battles, Lucas's fight was to begin. Everything played out just as originally, and I couldn't help but laugh at such a small insect. It's truly funny how he sees himself as the end all be all mage. However I already took that position years ago. After Lucas was ranked into B-Class, he stormed off yelling about his father and whatever, however next Elijah should be mentioned and I should be after him. I believe everyone fought just as they did originally, nothing different really happened.

"Elijah Knight!" Yelled the male examiner.

Just as before, he had a look of confusion plastered all over his face, then cleared his throat.
