You're British?

I wake to the smell of my mums pancakes, with a chesire cat grin, I stretch out and embrace the comfort. Slowly I open my eyes, enjoying the calmness of the morning but as my eyes come to rest on the ugly yellow wall paper, I am disappointed to realise where I am.

I glance over to my clock and groan, 5:15am. With a sigh, I roll off my bed and decide to do something that would shock everyone who knows me.

Throwing on my exercise gear, I head to the outside tracks.

It starts off with an aimless walk around the track, then slowly but surely turns into a full speed run, the numbness that comes to my brain from all this exertion is what compels me to run faster than I ever thought I was capable of. With my head down, I focus on the force needed to push my legs further and further until suddenly, I am thrown out of speed by a huge force tackling me to the ground.

With my face in the dirt, I try to stand, but I am forced back down.

"Run all you like, you'll never escape. We know who you are" with one last push on my head, my attacker disappears before I can even catch a glimpse of her.

For a moment, I lay there. Unsure of what just happened. The haunting whisper swarms around my head, I can't escape the buzzing of it.

"Aria?" I hear footsteps running towards me. Forcing myself to sit up, I quickly run hard and fast, despite the aching pain in my body. I'm sure something is bleeding, but I push past it. With one last look back at Indigo, I disappear around the corner and head straight for my room. Locking the door behind me, I sink to the floor. I can't shake the feeling of the hands on my back, pushing me into the ground. I quickly get up and strip, but I still feel disgusting.

I walk to the bathroom and turn the water on to boiling hot. I step in and the burning sensation makes me forget the feeling of being forced into the ground. I glance at my watch and see it is 7am, turning off the shower, I quickly get changed and make my way to breakfast.

"What the hell Aria?" Indigo sounded annoyed as she sits next to me. "I know you saw me this morning, why'd you run!? and what the hell were you doing lying around in the dirt?"

I sat for a moment, caught in my own thoughts. Why the hell was I being targeted? and why the hell was I being a total Bella Swan about it?! I couldn't just sit around like a sitting duck. I took a big gulp of my orange juice, slamming it down, I decided I didn't want to be the stuttering girl anymore. I was sick of being a victim. I was sick of hiding in my brothers shadow. Sure, I hated where I was, but I was no longer going to sulk. When life hands you potatoes, you make chips! Slowly, I felt something rise inside of me. It felt like courage was seeping through my blood stream and taking over. I looked Indigo square in the eyes and spoke. As in actually spoke, I did't stutter, I formed a proper sentence: "Sorry Indi, I'm a sleep walker. If you ever see me before 7 in the morning, I'm sleep walking."

Indigo choked on her food, "whooooooa badass Aria found her tongue!!! what the hell was that, think you can just come in here this early in the morning and surprise me like that! where did that come from" we both just started laughing.

"To be honest, I don't quite know. I just feel so...so..."

"... so badass!!" Indigo finished my sentence. I nodded. "well don't go all quiet on me now, I want to hear your life story! and did you know you have an accent! you sound British!! oh my god, are you British?! that's totally hot! say something else, say 'top of the morning to ya' omg, do you know Colin Firth!? he is a total babe. What is the Queen like in real life, is she wrinkly? because she looks really good on TV, but is it photo shop!? can you even photo shop live tv? what kind of shows do the British play? do you guys keep up with the Kardash-"

"whoooa Indigo!" I chuckle "I'm not British, I'm American! but my mum is British. Where to begin with your questions? umm, no I don't know Colin Firth, but agree, he is a total babe. I've never met the Queen, but I suppose she is rich enough to afford the best anti-wrinkle cream? or maybe she hires stunt doubles? I'm fairly certain you can't photoshop live tv? I have no idea what the Brits watch, though my mum watches Coronation street. And no, I don't keep up with the Kardashians, but I'm sure they're doing fine without my support. Did I cover everything?" I look at Indigo and she is completely gobsmacked. For once, in what I suspect to be her whole life, she is speechless."

We finish eating in silence, then finally, Caleb walks in and posts a piece of paper on the notification wall. Almost in sync, every girl stands and excitedly makes her way to the board.

Walking across to see the paper myself, I see the words: "INTERVIEW TIMES"

I note that I am the first girl to be tested. With a sigh I walk over to the other girls. Since the first day, none of them have really integrated with me, most pretend they don't see me or just glare disapprovingly, apart from Indigo and Amelia.

I listen in to some of their conversations: "I hope I end up with Delilah, she's been here the longest, so hopefully she'll have the most wisdom." most of the girls nod in agreeance, except one;

"I kind of hope I get Hunter, I heard that he used to be Valentine's personal body guard"

"Why would he be here though!? imagine how awesome it would be to work so closely with Valentine"

After that, most of the talk is about how dreamy Valentine is, I look over to Indigo who makes a gun with her fingers and pretends to shoot herself, I smile.

I look at my watch and decide to head over to my interview.

Walking into the interview room, I'm amazed at the plainness of it compared to the other rooms. Taking a seat I wait...and wait...and wait.

I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I know, a black bag is being placed over my head and I am being rudely yanked up from my seat. I try to fight the arms off of me but they are really strong. When I realise they are man arms, I swiftly kick backwards, making sure I hit their... well you can guess what I was aiming for. I hit my mark and the man lets out a groan but doesn't release his grip on me. Someone else in the room begins to laugh but quickly stops. "let's just get her out of here" the man holding me barks to the person who had laughed.

The man tries to walk me out the door, but I'm not going so easily. I stop moving and pretend my legs don't work, but the man just drags me along the floor, next I hook my legs around the table legs, with a sigh, the man shoves a cloth inside the black bag and before I can place what the smell is, I pass out.
