I wake up with a sore neck, when images of the moments before I 'fell asleep' flood back to memory, I jump up quickly. Looking around I realise I'm no where familiar. "What the hel-" I'm cut off by the sound of growling. Slowly turning around, I come face to face with three scary ass dogs (if you could even call them dogs) who look like they haven't eaten anything in a while. Slowly backing away, I feel around for a door handle. To my relief, I find one, as I open the door, the dogs lunge forward, quickly running out the door, I hide on the other side, the dogs come running out and before they have time to turn around and eat me, I run back into the room and slam the door shut.
My heart pounding, I slump against the door as the dogs scratch and bark on the other side for what feels like hours. When they finally stop, I find courage to look around the room. Where the hell was I?
I manage to find the light switch and as I flip it on, the room morphs into my boutique like new wardrobe. Before I have time to question what I'm doing in here, a voice speaks. I turn to see who is speaking but the voice sounds as if it is coming from within my head, not actually being spoken out loud.
"Time to get dressed." The doors burst open and in comes Kelly and Sammy wielding two huge suitcases that when placed on the ground, open up what appears to be a million compartments filled with makeup utensils and things I could not even begin to imagine what they could be used for.
Kelly struts right up to me with an almost cruel smile that does not suit her faces kind features. "Kelly?" my only response is Kelly reaching up and ripping the clothes I'm wearing into shreds so I stand only in my underwear. I try to push her away but Sammy takes my arms and quickly slips a new outfit over me. In the confusion, Kelly pushes me backwards and I land on a chair. Sammy quickly straps me into the dentist like chair and the both of them start my makeup and hair. Within seconds, they appear to be finished, smile at each other and then exit the room as fast as they entered.
I sit for a while, trying to figure out what the hell just happened. As I sit there, sirens start blaring and the world's brightest red light starts flashing. I feel heat behind me and as I turn to look, I see a fire blazing its way through the wardrobe. Struggling with the straps that Sammy used to tie me to the chair, I try to escape but they are secured too tightly.
Forcing myself to calm down, I take a few deep breaths and then somehow manage to wriggle one foot free. Using my free foot, I push my way towards the door, which turns out to be harder than it sounds thanks to the world's biggest dress that Sammy placed on me. As I reach the door, relief washes over me.
The relief however, is short lived as I realise my restrained hands can't reach the door handle and I am not talented enough to use my foot to twist it open. A frustrated scream escapes my lips. Deciding that if I'm going to die in this fire, I don't want to sit around and wait for it, I prepare myself to push myself straight into it. I push myself, but then chicken out the moment before I reach the flames. As the seat swivels around, the strap on my right arm disintegrates in the fire and the arm is freed. Shocked at my own luck, I quickly use the free arm to free myself and bolt quickly out of the room.
Trying to catch my breath, I stand for a moment with my eyes shut. Looking up, I come face to face with a full length mirror. My reflection makes me gasp. The outfit Sammy and Kelly placed on me is a grand wedding dress. I stare in horror as I take in the makeup and hair as well. I look like a doll. Suddenly I'm not the only image in the mirror. A man's form walks towards me and as he nears, I recognise the man to be Lucas Valentine. "My love, I'm waiting. Become the victor and we will marry, arise my lioness. My love, my love.." Lucas continues to chant 'my love'
I take a step forward to get away from him and almost immediately realise my mistake as I start free falling because apparently Angel Academy did renovations and got rid of the floor outside my wardrobe. I try to scream but no noise comes out.
When I finally land on hard ground, I'm helped up. Looking up I see Indigo, I hug her, glad to see someone sane, but she doesn't hug back, "Indigo! what is going on!?" but before she can respond, two men yank her back and tie her up, forcing her onto her knees. They pull out a gun and aim it at her head, but before they can pull the trigger, I run and push her out of the way. Taking the bullet for her. Then taking a shaky breath, I let the darkness take over. Images of my family play behind my eyelids and I smile.
