When the guards had finally taken the possible time travellers around the corner and out of my sight, I felt the stress of the moment finally get through to me. Needing to sit down I quickly found a bench in the palace garden where I could sit down and rest for a bit.

Not long after I had sat down I found that my arms had wrapped themselves around my growing womb. Ever since I had found out that I was with child I had discovered that cradling the baby inside of me was relaxing and gave me much needed comfort at times when Cardan wasn't there to provide it.

Cardan. I had almost forgotten. I needed to find him. Deciding I have had enough rest for know I stood up and Immediately went on my way to find him, he could be anywhere right now.

Rushing into the palace I didn't feel like wasting any time so I pulled the first servant I saw aside. "Where is the High King?," I asked her while she gave me a small nod of acknowledgment.

"The last time I saw him he was walking towards your chambers your majesty," nodding in approval I quickly let the fea continue it's work as I went on my way to find my husband.

When I had finally gotten to our chambers I told myself to slow down for a second. I walked in as relaxed as I could in this situation. "Cardan!" I called after I heard the doors close behind me. "Jude!" he called back from our bad chamber excitedly.

He walked out a moment later with a smile on his face, but it quickly vanished as he looked at me. I wondered if he could see through me and already knew what I was about to tell him.

But then he moved, he stood right in front of me in a matter of seconds. "Who did this to you?" he asked me grabbing my face between his hands.

I looked at him slightly confused not knowing what he meant, but when I felt his thumb go over the freshly made cut on my cheek I shivered. "It's just a scratch don't worry about it," I told him grabbing one of his hands in mine. "Just a scratch! You're bleeding, Jude," he hissed at me frustrated like he always did when I had injured myself.

"It's nothing really and that is besides the point. We got a problem," I told him trying to change the subject to the more important matter at hand.

"What could possibly be more important then the safety of you and our child?" He asked me like he wasn't going to listen to the answer anyway.

I would have hit him if it wasn't for the fact of how he talked about this child like it was his whole world already. Not only that, but also how he had placed his hand that wasn't in mine on my womb- caressing it.

I almost melted in his embrace when I realized what I was actually here for. "Don't you want to know who did it?" He gave me a glare before answering. "Of course I do, what kind of question is that?"

I rolled my eyes. "Well if you'd like to know the fea who did this is know in the dungeons in one of our cells," I told him. "Sit down. Because there is something about these fea you need to know," I told him before he could storm out of our chambers to the dungeons.

"Wait there where more then just one fea?" He asked now confused as I let him to one of the couches we where standing beside. "Not only fea actually," I whispered quietly when we where seated. "What?" "Nothing," I quickly answered.

"Tell me what it is with these criminals so I can beat them up for touching my wife and their High Queen," he told me moving to stand up again, but I had grabbed him before he could.

It was adorable how he forgot that I didn't need him to stand up for me all the time, that I could do that myself. Vivi had always called him a simp. I don't know what it means, but I think this is part of what she meant with Cardan Greenbriar being the biggest simp she has ever known.

I do not know if it needs to be seen as a compliment, but either way I wouldn't really care and Cardan would see it as a compliment in general anyway.

But there is something else I should focus on right now. I turn my attention back to the matter I was supposed to discuss with Cardan.

"Cardan, whatever I tell you in the next few moments I need you to promise me you won't storm out of here and do something stupid," I tell him. "It can't possibly be that bad Jude," he told me, but when I had given him a glare he quickly told me. "Of course I promise Jude, anything for you darling."

"There may be a possibility that the prisoners have time travelled from the past," I straight up told him. "Time travellers?" He asked. "From the past yes," I added.

"Who are they? Do I know them? Are you sure their time travellers?" He asked and I didn't know if it was confusion or frustration I heard in his voice. "If you will calm down I can answer your questions," I interrupted him before he could ask me anymore of them.

When his mouth had finally shut and there wasn't any sound coming out anymore I started talking. "We are pretty sure their time travellers because there is no other logical explanation, and you know them," I told him answering the two easy questions.

"And who are they then, the prisoners?" He questioned uncertain of what my answer would be. "Taryn, Vivi..." I started to which he nodded for me to continue. "Madoc and Locke..." His jaw clenched at those two names.

"And your brothers Dain and Balekin," that was all I needed to tell him before he stood up and rushed out of our chambers. "Cardan!" I called after him, but it was already to late. I wasn't able to get up as fast as I wanted as my baby bump got in the way, that was one of the pregnancy struggles I hated at these sort of moments.

Another struggle that wasn't convenient right know were my slightly swollen ancles. And the fighting and rushing around that I did a few moments ago also wasn't assisting me in any way. It made me realize that by the time I would have finally arrived at the dungeons it would be to late, Cardan would probably have beaten up someone by then.
