I heard a scream.
It had not come from me, that I knew for certain.
The scream had sounded very feminine or high to my sensitive ears. There was only one female here which I knew it could come from.
Taryn, my sweet little Taryn. But she wasn't sweet, no. If what Cardan had told us, me, was true then she was just as bad as her sister, maybe even worse in my eyes.
Because of the little state of shock I was in I almost hadn't noticed how I was Backing up. I did hear Madoc let out his praise for his two youngest 'daughters', he almost scoffed at that if it wasn't for the wall which caught his attention as he bumped against it.
It made him angrier though and a curse quickly left his mouth even if it was a quiet one and more would have followed if it wasn't for his keen eyes that had spotted something, something that had a smirk plastered on his face rather quickly.
There in the stone wall he had just bumped into was something shiny and sharp as he picked it up he saw what it was; a skewer. It lay there in his palm, so perfect. It was so perfect that he couldn't possibly leave it unused, such a precious metal, it practically begged for it and how could someone as nice and kind as Locke ignore such desperation.
As he looked up from the sharp metal his eyes met those of Taryn, they were big and she was slightly shaking her head from side to side like she knew what he was going to do. But he ignored her. As he didn't know if she deserved his attention after what he had heard and besides he entirely focused on something else...
He looked past Taryn and his eyes met Cardan's, Cardan was smiling at him and he smiled back. He walked forward, the skewer hidden behind his back.
"You know?" He spoke and he saw Cardan's smile falter slightly at his own. "I've had a lot of fun today, I can tell you that, but I'm missing something..." His gaze flickered to Jude for a second, Cardan saw he noticed, but it didn't matter he would get what he wanted either way. "That something, it could make my day, maybe even my life so much better."
He noticed how Cardan had pulled Jude behind him as far as she would let him, but it wasn't that far, wasn't far enough. As before anyone knew it he had moved, fast.
A gasp was all that was heard before all Hell broke loose.
He had done it and A victorious smirk came upon his face as he looked upon his victory. There on her knees on the ground with a hand cradling her belly was Jude. Why? Because the skewer that had been in his hands grip was now stuck in her flesh where he had planted it no more than a mere second ago.
