"Wake uuppp!" Carri's voice shouted in my ear. I let out a groan and my eyes lazily fluttered open.

"Well good morning to you too," I laughed sarcastically. I stretched and fixed my outfit and hair before we all went down to the lobby to have breakfast.

We all sat together and I ended up getting stuck next to Luke. The eating area was cramped, so we were close enough for our arms to brush.

"Can you, like, not touch me? Thanks," Luke said rudely. I rolled my eyes.

"Don't flatter yourself, Princess. I don't want to touch you."

"Guys, guys," Calum interrupted, "can't we all get along?"

"Tell that to Little Miss. Perfect," Luke snapped.

"Awe, thanks, Luke. I am perfect, aren't I?" I smiled a sickly sweet smile. I only said that to get on his nerves, I am so far away from perfect; not that I told people stuff like that.

"Seriously, knock it off," Calum sighed exasperatedly.

I quickly finished my pancakes as well as Carri.

"Do you wanna go for a swim, Carri?" I asked, motioning to the indoor pool that conjoined with the lobby. She nodded and we went to get changed.

~

By the time me and Carri got changed, everyone decided to go swimming. We all met at the indoor pool, that was currently empty. I sat with Ashton on the edge of the pool, our feet dangling in the water. He was teasing about having a thing for Michael.

"Most definetly not!" I laughed. "No way."

"Mhm, that's what they all say," he teased with a goofy smile on his face.

Just then, our conversation was interuppted by everyone else now entering.

"Hey, there's Michael is now," he joked, elbowing me in the side. But that's not who I was looking at. Luke's toned chest and stomach along with his messy quiff caught my attention. His metal lip ring shined in the light almost as much as his baby blue eyes. When his gaze connected with mine, my face turned red. He had caught me staring.

"Like what you see?" He smirked.

Yes.
Wait, what? No. Most definetly not.
"No," I lied, "I was looking at Carri's swim suit." I motioned to her blue tie-dyed bikini. He turned around and his eyes raked over her body as if he were checking her out.

I felt a slight pang in my chest. Why are my feelings hurt?

He shrugged, "whatever."

We swam for a while and I honestly had a lot a fun. My thoughts were swimming as well, though.

Everytime Luke came close to me or would accidentally brush arms with me, my heart would race and despite being in the water, I felt on fire. The weird thing was that I liked the fire and I wanted it.

I was now sitting on the bed back in the hotel. I was drawing, something Ash and Carri always told me I was good at, when Luke came in. Everyone else was still swimming, so it was just us.

"Do you have an extra towel that I can borrow, please?" He asked with no trace of rudeness in his tone. Please? I didn't even know that word was in his vocabulary.

"Uh, yeah. You can use that one," I replied, motioning to a white towel on a metal rack.

"Thanks." He dried off in my room, like he wasn't bothered by my presence for once. Once again, I caught myself staring. He just did it so swiftly and he looked so perfect.

Wait, what? No. Luke is a brat and hate him.

When he finished drying off, he came over and sat next to me.

"What ya doin'?" He asked casually, like we were besties and like we didn't hate each other.

"I'm drawing." I turned my drawing pad so he could see. He smiled.

"It looks good, Del! You've got some talent," he praised in awe. Del kept repeating in my head. The way it came off his lips had an effect on me, it was so different from when Ashton calls me that.

"Thank you," I blushed. This Luke was so different compared to the cocky brat he usually is. I liked this Luke.

"Does it have meaning?" He asked. I nodded.

"The heart represents, well, a heart." I pointed to the worn down wings connected to the heart, "The wings are kind of like mean that the heart is so wary and tired." Next, I pointed to the chains that wrapped around the wings. "The chains are supposed to represent all the burrdens that don't allow the heart to fly."

I don't know why I was telling him this, but this is my favorite conversations of ours. He nodded and seemed to understand what I was saying.

I left out the part about how the heart was supposed to represent me.

"That's some deep meaning."

I nodded.

I don't know if I was imagining this, but I swear he was leaning in. I was hesitant on what I was supposed to do, but his intoxicating smell drew me in. Our eyes fluttered closed and my heart was running a mararthon.

A knock on the door made me flinch slightly. We opened our eyes and I discovered we were only inches away and our noses were brushing.

Whoever had knocked, opened the door and Luke quickly withdrawed.

"Luke, do you wanna come to the store with us?" Michael's voice asked. He stood up.

"Yeah. I was just about to leave."
Um, what just happened?
