USUALLY, CASSIE PARKER TAKES HER TIME IN THE MORNING TO GET READY but once she saw Nate Foster's excited texts about the cast list coming out this morning, she immediately got changed and got ready as quick as she could and then made her way to the Foster household.

See, Cassie Parker was best friends with Anthony Foster, but unlike Anthony, Cassie was always supportive of him and his dreams. Anthony however, thought it was weird and embarrassing but Cassie didn't see that though, she was happy that he found his muse and went with it.

It was great to see the loud, energetic and attention seeking 5 year old morph into this broadway loving, talented 12 year old boy live out his passion the way he enjoyed.

Once she arrived to the Foster household, she excitedly jumped out of her car, clad dressed in a cream colored sweater and leggings with matching cream converse as she rushed up to the Foster door and knocked on the door, holding the strap of her backpack excitedly.

A second later, an excited Nate opened up the door and the two squealed as he lead her in. "Today's the big day, Cassie!" Nate exclaimed, "Coffee?"

Cassie laughed, "No thanks, hello Mrs. Foster, how are you?"

Mrs. Foster smiled, "I'm good, thank you Cassie, waiting for Anthony?"

Cassie shrugged jokingly, "I guess. Just kidding, we ride next to each other everyday. Everyday since we first got our driver's license. You remember right?"

Mrs. Foster hummed in agreement, "Like it was yesterday honey."

"Cassie, does this sweater make me look like I'm trying too hard?" Nate asked as Cassie's attention went on the youngest Foster. "I don't want to seem like I'm asking for it but at the same time, I want to let them know I want it."

Cassie smiled, giving him two thumbs up, "You look great."

"Yo, yo!" The familiar voice of Anthony Foster greeted, dropping his bag on the table as he ruffled his mom's and Cassie's hair which made her immediately slap his hand away. "What's up Cass?"

"Anthony, please, track bag on the clean laundry? Really?" Mrs. Foster wrinkled her nose as she set the bag away from the laundry.

Cassie waved at him, "Hey Anth. Can you pour me- and you're drinking it right from the carbon. Lovely."

"Not even a cup?" Nate muttered.

Anthony looked toward her once he was done with raised eyebrows, "Nope, what am I, like 6? Oh sorry Cass, didn't you want some?"

Cassie nodded slowly as he shooed Nate out of his way, "It's fine, forget it."

"Nate, please get going, the bus'll be here in any minute." Mrs. Foster tells.

"Okay," Cassie smiled, turning to face him one last time. "You're gonna be casted as Abraham Lincoln and you look great."

Nate smiled, "Thanks Cass. You're the big sister I wish I had."

Anthony scoffed and whirled around, "Are you wearing lipstick?"

"No." Nate denied quickly.

"Bro, you're wearing lipstick."

"It's lipgloss." Both Cassie and Nate deadpanned, "Clinical strength?"

"The pediatrician said my lip skin is unusually sensitive."

"Did the pediatrician actually say that?"

"Work with me here, Ma."

"Alright, just wait for both of our trucks to pull out before you leave and untuck your sweater. You're trying too hard." Anthony grabbed his bag and Cassie's arm leaving the house.

Once they exited the house, Cassie scoffed, "Why'd you say that? He wasn't trying too hard. I liked his outfit, thank you very much."

Anthony rolled his eyes, "Of course you do. Cmon, we're going to be late."

"And why am I your best friend again?" Cassie deadpanned, unlocking her car.

"Because you deep down love me?" Anthony smirked, putting his bag in the backseat of his car. "Or you think I'm attractive for you not to be my friend."

Cassie fake gagged and got in her car, buckling her seatbelt.

"You didn't deny it!" Anthony yelled, "So is that a yes?" Cassie shook her head and rolled her eyes playfully, waiting for Anthony to pull out first so she could follow him.

SO, NATE DIDN'T GET THE LEAD. He instead got a tree. Anthony had told her in Chemistry yesterday and now she was at home with Valerie, her other best friend, watching reruns of Glee on maximum volume because upstairs, her little sister, Chloe was blasting TikTok songs trying to learn the dances.

"Cassie!" Chloe screamed rushing down the stairs which made Cassie groan and pause the tv.

"What?" Cassie yelled, getting up from the couch. "I'm watching Glee, cant you go back and make more TikTok's?"

"Nope!" Chloe popped the 'p' as she smiled, "I'm going to spend the night at Libby's and I need a ride."

"What about mom?" Cassie questioned, "Can't she take you? I'm hanging out with Val."

Valerie's head then popped up from the couch, "Hey squirt."

"I'm taller than you."

"In your dreams, kid."

"Okay!" Cassie interjected putting her hands out, "Val, stop starting a fight with a 12 year old and you, where's Mom?"

"Date night. She already said it was okay, please Cass!" Chloe pleaded, "I'll do your laundry for a week."

Cassie's eyes widened in approval, "Pack your bag and get in the car."

"Yay!" Chloe beamed running up the stairs, "You're the best!"

"You coming with?" Cassie asked, putting on her jacket and slid on her slippers, grabbing her keys.

Valerie groaned, "Where else do I have to be?"

"Nowhere, because you loveeeee my family." Cassie smirked opening the door for Chloe who ran through the door.

Valerie chuckled, "Keep telling yourself that sunshine."
