Shadow's P. O. V.

I stepped inside the white palace. I'm here to get my mission. For the past century I've been training to be a love angel. A century is a short time for angels, since we live forever. I've been training archery and flying of course. Angels aren't as complicated as men. We have no hate or jealousy. There are different types of angels. You can cure hate or despair, sadness or jealousy or provide happiness or laughter. Love angels are very uncommon. There's one in every few hundred. Nobody wants to be a love angel and everybody that is, is seen in pity. The reason is that every love angel is sentenced to be lonely forever. Our mission is to shoot everyone that comes through our path. Sometimes things go bad. By that I mean there is no one the human can fall in love with so they either get ill or live in despair and sadness. Either way another angel must step in to cure the human. It's not our fault that people can't find love. Our king is very reasonable. His name is Gabriel. He's married to Mirrana. Angels can fall in love of course. We can get married, but only with angels. Mirrana and Gabriel have been married for thousands and thousands of years. In my school I met a lot of beautiful angels but I've never  fancied anyone. Like I said, I was sentenced on loneliness. My black wings were really different then all the others who had light coloured wings. Well of course there were some angels that had black wings but it was still unusual. I actually sentenced myself on loneliness and silence. When I reached the thrones I bowed. "Hello Shadow." Mirrana said. She was like my mother. I bet you wonder how angels are born. Well it's nothing special. Just every time true love appears an angel is born. We're born from different elements. Water, fire, earth, air and spirit. The ones that are born in the element of the spirit usually end up to be love angels. So once again, angels are rarely born in the element of the spirit. "Hello Queen Mirrana." I said and bowed again. "Shadow we decided that you are more than ready to go to London. You know the rules. You must give love to every loveless person there and you mustn't show your wings to anybody that isn't worthy of your trust. Just because you became a love angel, it doesn't mean that you must be alone. That just happened to some of the angels, your case can be very different. I've heard some of the angels fancy you at your school." King Gabriel said. "Can I ask something King?" I said. "Yes, of course." he replied. "What happens if I fall in love with a human or a human falls in love with me?" I asked shyly. "Well if we can call it true love there is a slight chance of that you can be together. But there is a problem with us not ageing." he replied with a smile. "There is one more thing. Because you finished training at a young age you'll have to go to high school as the humans call it. That means you'll learn about human history and very unfortunately for you you'll have to learn about the horrible things they've done. But if you really can't handle it just leave." Mirrana said in a sad tone. "I understand." I said firmly. It sickens me just by thinking of the cruelty. I'll have to suck it up. "Okay Shadow. It's time." Gabriel said. Mirrana stood up and came to me. She took my hands in hers. "Be brave Shadow. Nothing is going to happen to you. You will be okay. And I'll come to visit as soon as I can. I will miss you." she said. I hugged her tight and said:" I'll miss you too." Gabriel stood up and kissed my forehead. And with that I crashed to the ground. I looked around and saw I was in a park. On a board it said 'Hyde Park'. I hid my wings and walked into the city. And that's how my life on Earth began.
