Third-person p.o.v.
It happens every day. No matter how many times (y/n) explains it to Sunrise.
"I'm. Not. A. Child."
Sure standing at 5'2 would make (y/n) short compared to everyone else.
But also being 20 didn't help.Sunrise always treated (y/n) like a kid no matter what was said and (y/n) told him every day.
But (y/n)'s job was to take care of the daycare center. It was another day opening the pizzaplex. Everything was normal.
But (y/n) stood inside the pizzaplex by the entrance and took a deep breath.
"I do not want to do this today." (Y/n) whispered to themselves.(Y/n) stared at the floor for a while, until they were interrupted.
"Hello, there superstar." Of course that familiar voice.Your p.o.v.
"Hey, Freddy. What's up?" I smiled hearing his voice.
"Well, I saw you standing there and wondered if something was wrong." Freddy inquired.
"Oh. No, I'm all good. I just know how it is working with Sunrise. He still thinks I'm a kid." I explained with a deep sigh.
"Still? I thought by now he would know. I think the uniform would say something." Freddy laughed a little. But I have to agree with him.
I thought the uniform said that I work for the pizzaplex would be a sign that I'm no child."Yeah, I thought that too about the uniform I guess not. But I have to go and get the daycare started. It was nice to talk to you, Freddy." I waved with a smile.
"Have a good day, superstar!" He waved back.
Freddy is great. He's a lovely friend to have.
Once getting to the door I fumbled with the keys and found the right one.
Letting out another sigh I opened the door and started up the daycare."Come on (y/n). You can do this!" I hyped myself up.
Upon walking in I checked every room to make sure it was clean and put back into place.
Then being a little childish I took the slide down. It was just easier to get down that way.I let out a small chuckle and started to sort out all the art supplies and make sure the light was on.
Never want to deal with Moon again. He is scary to deal with.
Getting lost in thought while sorting out everything I hear a little jiggle bell.
"Hello there, Starlight!" It was Sunrise.
"Good morning, Sun," I replied briefly.
"Are you here to be looked after?" He asked while being all in my face.
I take a slight step back and hold in the anger.
"No, Sun. I work here for the 57th time. If the uniform didn't say so." I huff.He stood quiet for a minute.
"But you're so short!" He comments.
"Yes, I may be short but that does not mean I am a kid!" I remark.Sunrise is a good animatronic, don't get me wrong but he gets on my nerves.
Once getting him to leave me alone for a while, I set out all the art supplies and start making little snacks for the kids.
Third-person p.o.v.
Kids after about an hour started to pile in.
(Y/n) greeted them and checked all the kids to make sure they had wristbands. All the kids played tag, painted, and some even surprisingly took a nap.
Most of the kids were playing with Sunrise.
Sunrise loves to dance with the kids and sing silly songs. It was always funny to watch.
(Y/n) passed out the snacks to the kids and watched them eat while Sun had a little bit of a clean-up.
It was needed for Sun or he would be covered with all types of paint and markers.
Partway through the day, some kids wanted to play tag with (y/n).
They agreed to play as a way to keep busy and not get bored. As (y/n) played tag, they caught the side of a sharp corner and clipped the side of their upper arm pretty badly.
They hissed in pain for a second and came to a stop.
(Y/n) played it off and told the kids to keep playing and that they were "out of breath and need a break."They cover the deep cut with their shirt and hid away from the kids seeing them.
The daycare closed sooner than the rest of the pizzaplex.
One of the other daycare workers helped the kids back to their parents and made sure they got picked up."Hey (y/n)! All the kids are gone and I'm out." (Y/n) co-workers called out.
"Alright. Take care." They called back.Sunrise p.o.v.
Today was fun! That is always my favorite part of the day.
But where is (y/n)? They never leave without saying "goodbye".Quickly I search around the daycare to find them.
"(Y/n)! Are you still here?" I called out.
"Yes, Sun! I'm in the bathroom." They yelled.Quickly I rushed to the bathroom and pecked in.
"Are you okay? You disappeared.""I'm fine, Sun. Just a little hurt." (Y/n) rolled their eyes.
But their arm was so badly hurt.
"What happened to your arm?! Are you okay? How can I help?" I questioned franticly.
"I'm fine. It's just a cut. Now, please leave me to this." (Y/n) declared coldly.I stood there and watched as they patched themselves up and washed away the blood.
It was like nothing I had ever seen before. Kids have needed bandaids but nothing that big from the first aid box that (y/n) was using!"(Y/n), see you going to be okay. You won't die, right?" I ask anxiously.
"Sun. I'll be okay." They explained.Simply I nodded and waited outside the bathroom for them to get done.
Your p.o.v.
Geez, I feel like I get no quietness in this job. I just need a little bit of silence for once.
Slowly I make my way out of the bathroom and started to head for the door so I can say goodbye to Sunrise. That's when I was suddenly swept up into the arms of Sun and was carried down to a very cozy place in the daycare.
"Sun, what are you doing? Let me go." I persist.
"No, you're hurt you need to stay here." He protests.
As soon as I start to get up and leave, Sunrise lifts me again but then he puts me in his lap and cradles me like a baby."No, you're staying here until you're okay." Sun demands.
"I'm not a ba-" I groaned, giving up halfway through the sentence.
I huffed and let Sun do his thing. And for once it was silent.
