It has been 2 years since that day. Both are now 9 years old. Everything was quite the same from that day. Merlin putting on an act, Horoki's friends being weirdos and Meguro watching them with a death glare in the shadows. Meguro is now learning Judo under his father since his previous teacher died from unknown reasons. But as they got older, things started to get rougher for them. Horoki lessened Merlin's food for her to stay thin. Even if she was given border line average amount of food, it would be strictly vegetables. And Meguro's training has been intense ever since he started to train under his father. Meguro never thought that things would escalate. Merlin throws her little episode and he be there to comfort her during and after it. The more he hung out with his sister, the less he thought about wanting to hate her. He saw potential in her. Just the mere fact that she's turning into something that isn't human and plays her role to act normal perfectly definitely says something. But every time her privileges got cut shorter and shorter, so is her patience to hide her true intentions. And this took a stain on Meguro since he didn't want anything bad to happen to his little sister. He promised her that he'll never leave her nor to let anything bad happen to her. And today is that same day.
Meguro had just finished his training with his father when he walked by his sister's room. He expected to hear her usual crying and cursing but this time it was quiet this time. A bit too quiet. Meguro then knocked on her door softly before coming in. Closing the door behind him, he saw Merlin in her usual spot that she was always in but this time, she was rocking back and forth at a slow pace. One hand was behind her head while he couldn't see the other one.
"Merlin?" He called out in a soft voice.
Merlin grunted in response but didn't turn to face him. Meguro walked up to her and to his surprise, Merlin was biting down on her right palm. The grunting noises that she was making grew louder as her hand seized up.
"I hate them. I fucking hate them all." Merlin cursed.
"I want them to drop dead." She growled under her breath.
Hatred filled her eyes as she continue to bite down onto her palm. Merlin had just withstand a long round of weird praises from her father's friends and it was for sure one of the worst 2 hours she's been through. Having to hear that she would be a great wife for their sons when she's older on repeat is very draining. She wasn't alone with this thought. Meguro too wanted them to die. But in the most suffering way possible. He just want to see their eye popping out of their sockets as he judo throws them to their death. All the ways of them suffering were flowing in rapidly. Meguro had to quickly contain himself and to not break character.
"Merlin, you'll bite a chunk of meat out of your hand if you keep this up." Meguro scowled at her while gently prying his sister's hand out of her mouth.
She didn't budge but eventually, she let's go. Blood was running down her hand it her palm seemed to be bruised. Meguro, being the concern older brother he was, he started to inspect the injury, but only got a painful hiss in response. Her eyes began to twitch as her body stiffen. Her smile grew wider. Meguro noticed how her aura changed and looked at her. It wasn't long before Merlin hissed and tried to hit her head on the floor. Muffled growls escaped from her blood stained teeth she proceeds to try smashing her head onto the concrete bedroom floor. Meguro then grabbed her and held her down. Merlin thrashed around in his grasp as she growled some more. Meguro had her hands pinned down. But his sister still swung her head around unnaturally, causing it to hit into Meguro's one in the process. He took some blows to the head while repeating to his sister that it'll all be okay. This happened for what seemed like forever before Merlin calmed down. Her rapid breathing slowed back down to normal as her body went limp. Her heart rate slowed down as her breathing softly followed behind. To Meguro's surprise, Merlin fell asleep. This was the first time she has ever fallen asleep after a tantrum. Her soft snoring erupted as he loosened his grip around her. Meguro then cradled her in his arms, realizing how peaceful she must feel knowing that she's not in pain right now. Oh, he knows. It was easy to read. He then laid her in her bed and took care of her injury.Merlin's pov
Later that night
My eyes slowly opened and was met with darkness. It slowly adjusted and realized that I was still in my room... on my bed? The beams of moonlights rush through my thin curtains as it was my only light source in the room. The scent of burnt candle wick and wax filled the room. A fuzzy feeling grew in my palm as I rubbed it to try ease the pain. A rough but wooly feeling greeted me. All the memories came back as I remembered that I had an injury in the palm of my hand. And by the texture of it, I could tell that someone patched it up. And I immediately knew that same someone was Meguro. My body was aching like hell and it was very uncomfortable. No matter how much I tossed and turned, it was still there. I gasped, groaned and mumble in discomfort and that didn't really help much either. I even tried to crack my back. A loud popping noise erupted from the act. That brought little comfort, but it wasn't enough for me to fall back to sleep. I don't know how long it took but I managed to fall asleep. A restless one to be specific. Let's just hope that tomorrow is not like today.
Third person
Little did Merlin knew, her brother was hiding in the darkest corner of her room. He wanted to help comfort his sister but he needs to stay hidden. His wide eyes watched his sister tossed and turn for what feels like forever before she stopped. He waited a while more to see if she moved, she didn't. That made his rise up from where he was hiding and walked over to her bed. Meguro was now hovering over his sister's sleeping body. His wide eyes pierced through the darkness. His body then started to move on it's own. His hands reached out and making her lie on her back.
Kill her.
Choke her.
She's right there. Do it.
The voices in his head roared at him. His breathing got heavier as his body to lightly shave.
"I can't..." He whispered to himself.
"I... I can't kill her."
And with that, he walked back into the corner of the room he was hiding in and sat back down in the darkness while covering his ears. Small whimpers erupted from him as he rocked back and forth slowly. Meguro tried his best to ignore the voices in his head that was telling him to hurt his sister.
