"My first impression of Zach was not bad. In order for this project to work, I may need to work with him. I actually want to know him a little more. I mostly just focus on my grades. Maybe he could be a good change for me," Heather thought.

Heather was packing a bag for the "trip". She packed her swimsuit, a flash drive, multiple changes for clothes for various environments, and a tiny mirror that fits perfectly in her pocket. After the bizarre interview, she wanted to be ready for anything. There could be lasers or more climbing as a security measure. The virtual reality system would clearly not be easy to study. Heather had a stack of books on her desk. Books were very different. One was an atlas and another on edible plants of the world to help prepare if she needed to survive in a random setting One was a journal a man wrote about being stranded on an island. It describes how he built a shelter, found fresh water, and food.

Heather's roommate also was preparing for it. The roommate is Monica from the interview. Heather called her to help with research. Monica used to be a soldier overseas. Monica had professional training in flying vehicles, survival, and first aid. When Heather called about not being in the apartment during the project's investigation. Monica kept asking questions about Heather's safety.Heather got tired of thinking of solutions to Monica's "What if" questions.

She ended up just sarcastically joking that she should join her if she is worried. Monica was also packing. She had waterproof boots, a refillable canteen, food rations for two months, and a small hammock. Monica sleeps better in a hammock as well as it could serve as a net if she needs to fish for more food. Before the interview, Monica was considering going back out and serving her country. Monica missed being out sleeping under the stars. She got a better idea of her values when you remove television, sports events, wifi, and nosy family conversations.

When she got back from serving last time, she went and fixed her relationship with her parents. Monica's Dad still brings up how she should have been more careful in high school. Her parents felt she was too serious with her boyfriend in high school, she and him loved having adventures. They went rock climbing, rafting, and to prom together. Being overseas Monica felt her parents could do a better job raising her daughter. Looking back, it seems she is always packing. Whether it is for college, camping, assignments, and school lunches for her daughter. Monica took her daughter to camping events in girl scouts. Hopefully all her experience would be enough for what she has gotten into.
