A/N
Hey there! So, surprise! This is NOT the last chapter! There should be one more yet, so stay tuned for that. This chapter ... well let's just say that I left the fluff about a million light years away so .... good luck with that. Also, it's a bit longer than I usually write, so look forward to that as well! Without further ado, here's the chapter!

Taehyun was rushing through the forest, his chestnut fur flowing as his paws quickly hit the ground. The greenery passed him in blurs, his main focus on getting back to his pack as soon as possible. He'd been running for almost twenty minutes now, his breathing erratic as his muscles worked to their full capacity.
While running, he had time to think to himself about his next move. He knew he could never go back to the pack he had become so close to for the last couple weeks, realizing that he had to give up the thought of ever returning to them. He had thrown away any related emotions to the pack, knowing he had a job that needed to be done.
He saw his pack's land in sight, his pack large enough to have a walled off enclosure with a worn-down gate. There were always at least two people at the gate to prevent anyone from entering their territory unannounced. At Taehyun's arrival, the two individuals immediately became on edge, one of them positioned as if they were about to shift. Before the situation escalated any further, Taehyun shifted back into a human, stretching his arms as he looked at the other two people unamused.
"What? You don't remember me?" Taehyun looked between each person, recognizing both of them as betas. After not seeing a response, he caused his eyes to glow green, both people immediately looking surprised before opening the gate.
"S-sorry. We haven't seen you in so long, so we weren't expecting you."
Both betas bowed slightly as Taehyun walked by, the delta having a cold expression as he passed through. He was known for having killed multiple packs in the area from the inside out, having a reputation in the pack as someone who could kill another no matter their subgender. And in Taehyun's defense, he has killed some of the strongest alphas in the area.
Taehyun knew he had to report to the pack alpha, especially since he had been gone longer than he usually was. His pack had quite a large territory, much larger than the house he'd been staying in recently. However, he knew his way around well, nonchalantly moving towards where his pack alpha resided.
While moving through his pack, he noticed people trying to secretly point at him, as if they were surprised of his appearance. He wasn't shocked by that, especially after having not been around for a couple weeks. It wasn't long until he was at a building in the center of the territory, taking a deep breath before opening the door.
"Everything went according to plan. He's in the cell as you asked."
"That's exactly what I wanted to hear."
When the door closed, the two people's attention quickly moved towards him. He kept his expression cold, not wanting to show anyone the stress he felt. Whenever the pack alpha looked at him, he always feared what would happen next, hoping she'd be in a good mood.
