Weak. That's how she felt when the building fell on her. What she felt when she watched her mother die in her arms. When skip assaulted her. When her father hits her. When she can't stop the villains. Her life has been nothing but pain. And she was the one that caused it. She can't help but wonder what the world would be like without their favorite friendly neighborhood spider girl. Would they even care? Maybe they would when they needed help. What about Mj? Ned? Mr stark? The only people in her life she could count on. But they didn't need her. Mj would move on to someone else. Ned would find a new best friend to watch star wars with. And Mr stark.. He would find a new intern. One more qualified. More mature. More important. God she did not want to wake up in the morning.

Penny woke up with a horrific headache. She didn't even remember falling asleep. Her heart was pounding. Her phone dinged and she saw it was from Mj.
Mj🤍- Hey not to be creepy but I'm outside of your apartment. Be ready in 5.
She panics. She has 5 minutes to get her shit together. She puts on one of her nerdy t-shirts and jeans. She looked at herself in the mirror. Disgusting. She quickly puts her face on with light makeup and brushing her knotty hair. Suddenly theirs a pounding at the door. "Mj?" she hesitates. "Who the f*ck is Mj? One of your gay little friends?" Her heart drops. It was her father. "What do you want?" She immediately regrets asking. He slams open the door. "Who do you think your talking to bitch?" She takes a deep breath. "I-I didn't mean to say it like that." She says with a quick apology. "I don't care. Do you think you run shit around here? I didn't think so." She gulps. "LOOK AT ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU!" He grabs her face. "I'm sorry!" He slams her against the wall. "Don't ever talk to me like that again or you'll regret it." With that he smirks and walks out. She shakily stands up. Why is she so weak? She knows with her reflexes she could've fought back. But for some reason she freezes when it comes to her father. Her phone dings.
Mj🤍-Are you coming?
Shit shit shit. She puts on her jacket and runs out the door. "There you are. What took you so long?" Her girlfriend asks. "Oh I woke up late." She says not looking into her eyes. "Uh huh." Mj notices a red mark around her chin. "Patrol?" She asks skeptical. "Uh yeah. Don't worry with my powers it'll be gone in no time." She fake laughs. Mj stares at her girlfriend before giving her a kiss. "Hm I thought you hated affection." She smirks. "What? You don't want to kiss me?" "You know I do. Let's go." She holds my hand as we walk to hell or as some call it school. ••••••••
Penny zones out in class. That until she got a text from her mentor. Mister Stark🧪-Hey kid. You up for a day in the lab? Haven't seen you all week. She smiles. She missed being in the lab with him. Even if she just was last week. "Of course Mister Stark :) What time?" She answers. Mister Stark🧪-I'll have Happy pick you up after school if that's okay with you. "Sure!" She couldn't hide her excitement. The rest of the day went by fast. Class, Mj, Ned, class again, work, lunch, Mj, Ned, and more class and work. The bell rings and she rushes out the door. As she was speed walking, she tripped over something. "What the hell." She looks up to see Flash smirking. God i'm an idiot I should've just seen that coming. "Aw look at Parker. On the ground. What did you trip on?" He laughs. She ignores him and gets up. He grabs her wrist harshly and she winces. "Get off of me flash." She hissed. "Woah what are you in your period or something?" He mocked. "God Flash don't you have something better to do with your life?" "Oh but talking to you is the best part of my day." Her phone dings. "Aw is that Tony Stark. Oh wait you lied about the whole internship." Another laugh comes from his mouth. "I do not have time for this." She rolls her eyes and walks away. "Bye p*ssy parker!" he shouts. God he is so annoying. She exits the building and sees Happy standing out in front of his car. "Bout' time you showed up kid." She smiles. Although he'd never admit it he cares about the kid. "Well I'm here now. Let's get rolling." She says with finger guns. "You are such a weird kid." He mutters. As they are driving she puts her head against the window listening to music.
She sighs. Memories of Skip flashes through her mind. His hands on her body. His smirk. "Let's play a fun little game." "Your a good little girl." "Keep this between us." She shivers. Skip had been her babysitter when she was eight up until her mother died at age 11. He was nice and fun to hangout with at first. Until the night of her ninth birthday. Her parents had gone out to drink probably forgetting it was her birthday and left him to babysit her. He said he had a surprise for her. After that she hated surprises. A tear escapes her eye. She quickly wiped it and took a deep breath in. Happy looked over through his mirror. "You okay kid?" "Yeah yeah i'm fine. Are we almost there?" He nods and she lets out a breath she didn't know she held in. At least she would see her idol soon.
