Ch. 14

**Alexis's condo**
Alexis's POV
"So, I've been thinking.." said Caleb.
"Thinking about what?" I said hanging my clothes up in the closet.
"Making it official," he said. I turned around and looked at him.
"You're pregnant now and I want us to have our own little family and be together for our child. So, Alexis, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked walking up to me.
"Of course I will," I said smiling and hugging him.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too."
Just as I said that, the doorbell rang. I walked to the door and opened it.
"Hey," I said to Dre.
"Damn you just standing there. You gone let a nigga in or not?" he said.
"Uh..come in since you in such a hurry," I said rolling my eyes and letting him in.
"This is a nice ass condo. How did you get this?" he asked looking around.
"Me and Rick had a talk and we came to an agreement that he'd get it for me and pay the bills until I turn 19," I said sitting down on the couch.
"So y'all went looking at places?"
"Yeah. He told me that I can get any place that I want and I chose this one and we went furniture shopping the next day."
"When was this?"
"Like two months ago."
"Wow. Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I didn't want anybody to know."
"Wow. So about this pregnancy thing.." he said with his voice trailing off.
"What about it?"
"Are you sure you want to do it? You're graduating in a month and then you have college."
"I know," I said. "I'm still trying to work things out in my head, but I do know that I'm having this baby."
"If that's what you wanna do, then go for it babygirl. I have your back through it all. And while you're in school, I'll babysit."
"You're serious?" I said getting happy.
"Yes. I know that you're going to be in school and probably working so I'll take care of the baby for you," he said seriously. Tears came to my eyes when he said that. I moved closer to him and hugged him and cried.
"Thank you so much," I said drying my face.
"It's no problem. I'll do anything for you and you know that," he said looking at me. I hugged him and grabbed his hand.
"Get up," I said smiling. He got up and I led him up the stairs to my music room. It was a big room full of instruments and microphones. I grabbed a microphone and a stand and moved it to the piano. I sat down at the piano and started playing "You Pulled Me Through" by Jennifer Hudson.

You, you, you pulled me through." I sang and stopped playing and looked up at Dre. He had his mouth wide open.
"Close your mouth," I said laughing.
"Lex, I knew everything about you, except that. I had no idea that you could sing like that," he said looking at me.
"Yeah..I've been keeping that to myself," I said looking down.
"With a voice like that, you should never keep it to yourself. You have a beautiful voice."
"Thank you," I said smiling.
"You can blow too Dre," I said looking at him.
"Not nearly as good as you tho," he said sitting next to me at the piano.
"Boy please," I said scooting over. I started playing the beginning of "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys and let him take over when the verse came up. When it got to the chorus, we harmonized and stopped singing. I looked up at the door and saw Caleb standing there.
"I didn't know y'all two could sing," he said walking over to where we were.
"Dre, Caleb and I have some news to share with you," I said standing up next to Caleb.
"Damnit Alexis, I've had enough news from you for today," Dre said throwing his head back.
"It's nothing bad," I said laughing. "We just wanted to tell you that we are officially a couple."
"Oh. That's good," he said sounding relieved.
"Yep. Y'all wanna order a pizza?" I asked rubbing my stomach.
"Sure," they both said.
I called in the order and sent Dre to pick up the order. Me and Caleb walked back to my room and laid on my bed.
"Baby," I said.
"Yea?"
"You wanna move in? I don't wanna be pregnant and here alone."
He was quiet for a little while.
"Okay," he said.
"Okay what?"
"Okay I'll move in."
I started smiling. It makes me happy that things are going good with me and Caleb. Everything has been smooth with no drama. I do kinda feel like we're going a little fast, but then again we've been talking for a while plus I'm pregnant.
"What do you think about baby names?" I asked him.
"For a boy I like the name Micah Elijah," he said.
"For a girl I like Lauren Rylee," I said.
"So are those the names we agree on?" he asked.
"Yeah. What do you think we're having?" I asked.
"Honestly, I think it's a girl."
"Me too," I said getting excited.
"Are you excited about having a baby?" I asked.
"I don't know. I still don't think it hit us yet."
"Oh. I think Dre is back," I said getting up and walking downstairs to the kitchen. I don't know why, but something isn't sitting right in my spirit. I washed my hands and fixed me a plate. I sat on the couch and turned the tv on. As soon as I finished my food, I fell asleep.
