**This is what I imagine Alexis looking like**
Danielle's POV
After Bryce left, I just cried my eyes out. I can't believe he acted like that towards me. After all that we've been through, he throws it away for that bitch. I only became friends with her to get back at Bryce for hurting me. It's stupid, I know, but I thought it would work. He's so cold now. I don't know what happened to him. I got out my phone and texted my boo, Cam. We've been talking for a while now, but I haven't told him that I'm pregnant. He doesn't know about Bryce, so he'll think the baby is his. I am 100% sure it's Bryce's. I felt my phone vibrating and looked down and saw that Alexis calling me.
Phone convo
"Hello," I said dryly.
"Hey girl. What's wrong?" she asked cheerfully. I rolled my eyes.
"Nun," I said not really in the mood to talk to her.
"Giirrllll let me tell you bout last night," she said happily.
"What about it?"
"Bryce put it down. Girl, it hurts to walk and sit down," she said laughing.
I hung up on her. Wtf is wrong with her!? Stupid bitch.
Alexis's POV
What the hell? I know this heifer did not just hang up on me. She been actin real funny lately. I got out of my car and walked into the school for practice. Since we were getting ready for competition, practices were going to be longer and more intense. I put my stuff down and saw the girls stretching. I stretched for about 5 minutes and started warm ups.
"Alright girls, 10 laps around the gym," I said starting to run. I felt like they were talking shit, but I really don't care. I'm the captain so therefore I'm obligated to whip these girls into shape. I continued warm ups for 10 more minutes and started going over the dance. Practice lasted about 3 hours and afterwards I was tired as hell. I checked my phone to see if Bryce had called and saw that he hadn't called or texted me. I called him and he didn't answer. Wtf is wrong with everybody today?
"Lex, you wanna go out tonight?" asked my bestfriends Mariah and Emmarie. They were also the co-captains of the team.
"Sure. Where?," I asked getting my bags.
"Malcom's cabin. It's a bonfire," said Mariah.
"Ok. What time?" I asked as we walked out of the building.
"8."
"Alright. I'll see y'all there. Bye," I said getting into my car. I looked at the time and it was 5:30. I drove home thinking about practice. It actually went pretty good. I got home and got straight in the shower. I washed my hair really good since I had been sweating. When I got out, I wrapped the towel around myself and blowdried my hair. I didn't bother straightening it since it would take a while, so I just wore it how it naturally is, which is wavy. My hair has been long all my life. I get it from my mama. I walked into my room and opened my closet door. I pulled out a creme colored sweater, Hollister jeans, some brown boots, and my brown leather jacket. I got dressed and went over to my dresser and pulled out a scarf. I put on a little eyeliner and mascara and grabbed my keys and phone and went downstairs. It was 7:50 and the cabin was about 30 minutes away. I told my mama where I would be and left out the house. I made it to the bonfire in about 20 minutes since it was kinda late. When I got there, I walked through the cabin to the backyard. It was niiiccceeee. I saw Mariah and Emmarie outside talking to a group of people. As I walked outside, everyone's attention turned on me. I knew I looked good, and apparently they thought so too.
"Hey," I said to Mariah. Emmarie had gone off with her boyfriend.
"Hey girl," she said sounding kinda tipsy.
"Umm, Riah, are you drunk?" I asked kinda laughing.
"No. Just buzzed," she said getting some water.
"Oh ok-" I was cut off by my ex Caleb.
"Hey Alexis," he said smiling.
"Hey!" I said hugging him. We hadn't seen each other since the summer before 9th grade year. He moved away with his mom after she and his dad got a divorce.
"Long time no see huh?" he said chuckling. "You look more beautiful than ever."
"Thank you," I said blushing. "You don't look so bad yourself."
"How have things been going?" he asked taking a sip of his sprite.
"Great. I got a full scholarship to NYU."
"Foreal!? Dang I knew having that big ass head was gonna pay off one day," he said laughing.
"Man whatever," I said rolling my eyes. "So what's been up with you lately?"
"Well, I just moved back up here with my dad. My mama got remarried and had another baby. It's was so chaotic there so I decided to move back here."
"So what are you doing about college?"
"I got a football scholarship at Stanford."
"You don't sound so happy about it," I said looking up at him.
"I don't know if I want to go there."
"Why not?"
"I just don't know." We talked for about 30 more minutes and exchanged numbers. I got into my car and felt my phone vibrate. I answered it and started driving home.
Phone convo
"Hello?"
"Get home now," my mama said sounding pissed then hanging up.
I did 80 all the way home so I made it in 10 minutes. When I got there, I saw a black Escalade in the driveway. I pulled into the garage and got out as fast as I could. When I walked into the house, I went into the dining room where I heard the noise coming from. I saw Dre looking pissed and my mama with tears in her eyes. Then I saw a man sitting with his back turned to me. They all turned towards me once they heard me clear my throat.
"What's going on?" I asked with my eyes fixated on the familiar looking man. The more I stared at him, the more I realized who the man was.
It was my father.
