The following two days resulted in Dream only managing to get George out of the castle for perhaps 20 minutes before he stated it was 'too hot', 'too bright' (even with his goggles on), or simply 'he was too tired'. The nights weren't good either, nightmares nagged in his head. On the second night, once the blonde had left, it'd only been a matter of 10 minutes until he'd received a message from Callahan informing him George was having a breakdown again. When he'd arrived, the brunette had been curled into a tight ball on his bed and it'd taken roughly 15 minutes to calm him down. That night George hadn't wanted him to leave, ending up with him sharing the bed with the brunette in a comfortable embrace. He'd stayed awake after the Brit had fallen into slumber, thinking... about the state his friend was in... and if he was helping in any way or making things worse...
"C'mon, George! Don't you wanna see Sap?" Dream encouraged the brunette as they exited the castle. He'd organised for him and George to meet up with their ravenette friend at the community house to hang out all together, hoping to have George's mood brighten a bit. The brunette was currently occupied with adjusting his mushroom hat on his head instead of answering the taller.
Shrugging it off, Dream offered his hand to the absent-minded male, who carefully accepted it; the pair walking hand in hand toward the said meeting spot.
"SapNap said Karl and Quackity might join us a little later as well!" he kept his behaviour energized for the less motivated male, even though he was doubtful with the little reaction George was giving in return; simply nodded in response.
"Maybe we could go for a horse ride with them? Try find a big mushroom in the forest?" Dream suggested, earning a more firm nod from his friend. That was promising.
The blonde was keeping mindful of how the brunette was reacting. He'd ran through possible triggers the other day when he'd planned this, especially keeping George away from going even remotely close to the newly rebuilt L'manburg... that was something he'd also have to check with once he'd settled George enough.
It wasn't long until they arrived at the community house, the ravenette and his fiancés chatting inside. Dream guided himself and the visibly anxious Brit indoors, greeting their friends. George remained mostly behind the blonde, despite the trio happily focusing on him.
"Hey George! It's been a while, huh?" Karl smiled warmly.
"Woah! Haven't seen you wear your mushroom hat in a while, man! Looks nice," Sap motioned over and patted him on the back.
"Guys, guys! We're among royalty, remember? King George, it's delighted to be in your presence," Quackity sparked up some laughter from the group, performing a fake bow in front of his friend before giving him a tight hug. Dream was glad to see that Quackity had managed to crack a smile from the shorter male, perhaps this would go better than he expected.
"What's it like living in Eret's castle?" Karl piped up curiously, earning a simple shrug from George. A small silence fell upon the group, the three not used to the bland responses the brunette had inhabited.
Taking matters into his own hands, Dream quickly broke the awkwardness, "What shall we do first? Any ideas?"
SapNap was quick to suggest, rather conveniently, "We could visit the Nether?" an excited agreement rung up from them, except for George who simply stated:
"Too hot."
"Oh um... okay," Sap rubbed the back of his neck.
Karl was quick to come up with another idea, "We could go for a walk past the nether portal? Out in the forest around spawn?"
