Brother's In Arms

Chapter 3

A long time ago......................................................

The brothers were somewhere in Devildom trying to stop Satan who was going on a rampage and right now had him cornered but had no idea how to stop him they didn't want to hurt him.

Asmo : Lucifer what do we do!?"

Lucifer : we have tried everything! And he won't stop!"

Beel : he's been having a hard time adjusting more than us we should of helped him better...."

Belphie : don't feel bad Beel we tried....."

Lucifer : all of you stay back. I'll just have to stop him by all fo-

Mammon : wait a minute Lucifer. He's our brother we need to get him to trust us and being hostile won't help.

Asmo: he has a point"

Lucifer : what do you suggest we do?"

Mammon :....let me handle this"

Lucifer : ....fine"

Levi : don't die"

Mammon : thanks for being positive!"

After this in his demon form Mammon charge towards Satan putting in effect of his plan.

Satan immediately tried attacking Mammon but Mammon just kept running around him dodging every attack. Nobody knew what exactly he was planning but trusted he knew what he was doing.

Anyway suddenly he got behind Satan and got him in a bear hug and got him to the ground in a sitting position with Mammon behind him. Still trying to hold him back in the bear hug.

Mammon : YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN!!"

Satan : LET GO OF ME!"

Mammon : I'M TRYING TO HELP YOU JUST L-!?

Satan started struggling a lot and got one arm free and was attempting to hit Mammon and was leaving deep claw marks  on him. And during this the green fire coming from Satan was getting worse and burning Mammon a bit.

Which was worrying his brothers but he wasn't letting go and eventually Mammon grabbed Satan's hand trying to keep it down so he wouldn't try and claw at him anymore or get free.

And his brothers watched as Mammon was struggling to keep him still and watched Satan who was full of rage and death starring all of them.

Mammon suddenly started humming and attempting to sing a lullaby he use to sing to his brothers when they were little.

He wasn't sure if this would work but it always calmed down his younger brothers. Nobody really knew why this lullaby worked so well on them and even other young angels and so it was a lullaby only he knew.

One of the reasons being it was sung in an old celestial language that was long ago forgotten that Michael taught him a bit when he was being taught under his wing.

Asmo : wait...is he really trying that?"

Belphie : he used to sing that to us when we were little.... when we were scared or couldn't sleep...."

Beel : will it really work?"

Lucifer : honestly wouldn't hurt to let him try."

As Mammon was singing Satan suddenly started to slowly calm down. And as he did the anger in his eyes vanished and his eyes started to water as all everyone saw just sadness pain and fear in his eyes.

Then Mammon suddenly let go of Satan and stood up and as he did  Satan just looked down and started crying the sound of his cries were physically painful to hear. And wouldn't stop like all of his previous anger turned into tears.

Then suddenly Mammon fell to his knees next to Satan and patted his back while smiling acting like he was fine despite being badly injured.

Satan looked at him and then everyone walked over going in for a group hug.

Mammon suddenly woke up again and looked at Satan who was still asleep.

Mammon : .........."

He then started humming the lullaby to himself.

The next day in the morning everyone was at the table eating breakfast meanwhile Mammon took off early to do something  and Satan was reading a book after finishing his breakfast early and during this he was humming a song which caught everyone's attention.

Asmo : what are you humming?"

Satan : I don't know?"

Lucifer : where were you and Mammon last night? "

Satan : why assume I was with him?"

Lucifer : so you were. So what were you both doing?"

Satan : nothing?"

Asmo : you guys been spending a lot of more time together. I  am kinda jealous"

Satan : ok?"

MC : Satan yesterday I heard from everyone it was your birthday?

Satan : ......who told you?"

MC : Luke accidentally brag about the birthday cake he made you because apparently Mammon got you one from a guy behind a casino?"

Satan : ....of course he would. Anyway was a good cake I have leftovers if you want it Beel if you haven't already eaten it. I did leave it in the fridge"

Beel : cake...."

Lucifer : were you all out together having a birthday party?"

Satan : is that a problem?"

Lucifer : no? Why would it be?"

Asmo : why weren't we invited? "

Satan : it was a surprise I didn't plan it  and it was late you guys were asleep"

MC : did Mammon plan it?"

Satan : I guess? All he did was get me a book and some cake that I'm pretty sure at some point started attacking Luke"

MC : why does everyone seem weird? Do you guys not normally celebrate it?"

Belphie : we tried a few times a long long time ago and he never liked it"

Satan : I don't see the need for it not really a birthday party kind of demon"

Levi : wait how did Mammon get you a gift he's broke!?"

Satan : .....he probably stolen but it's mine now"

MC : is that the book your reading?"

Satan : yep surprised he found it of all people"

Satan was trying to be whatever about it like he didn't care he didn't want his brothers knowing how exciting he actually was for this book.

Besides it being the book he wanted it was his first present.

Meanwhile Lucifer was wondering a lot of things one of them being the song he knew
That was Mammon's song. And always wondered how Mammon knew it but he could never figure it out. Even though he knew the old language as well.
