Katherine's pov:When we got back to the house I declined when he asked if I wanted to stay in his room. He didn't seem to mind and we separated quietly.

The next morning, more like noon actually, I woke up feeling lightheaded and all of yesterdays evens came crashing back to me. At first I might have thought it was all some crazy dream, but I knew it was not. Although I sort of wished it to be.
What would happen now, after this. Awkwardness were to come, I just knew it. Maybe he would run away and not talk to me for days, maybe I would do the same.
All I knew was that it shouldn't have happened, because now I ached for more of him. And I shouldn't, I should think of this as a task and nothing more.
I opened my bedroom window taking in the fresh air. The sun was high and Josie sat on the porch, just spotting me. "Hey, someone's tired it seemed?" She said looking up at me.
"It was a long drive yesterday, I'm all rested now." I smiled down at her wondering where the others were. "Where's the others?"
"Alexander offered to make dinner, but I think they're all in the kitchen." I nodded and got dressed to go downstairs.
I found them all in the kitchen like she'd said. Ezra and Silas standing on either side of Alexander as he was mixing something.
None seemed to spot me so I decided to break the silence. "What are you making?"
Silas was the first to turn looking me up and down, then soon all heads were in my direction. "You slept till now?" Ezra asked eyebrows raised seeming shocked to see I was still alive.
I nodded not getting an answer to what I was asking. "Tired I guess." Wasn't exactly a lie, but not entirely the truth either.
I could see Silas was fighting a smirk as he leaned back on the counter. Wonder how long he slept, I wasn't going to ask though.
"Can you two please get out of my way! If you want it done today, then fucking let me make it in peace." Alexander suddenly hissed.
Silas and Ezra shared a shocked glance and stepped away from the counter letting him have his space. As they walked past me Ezra put a hand on my back leading me out of the kitchen as well. "Someone's grumpy." I said as soon as we got into the living room.
"Yeah he barely slept anything last night, because of Ezra's loud snoring." Silas said sitting down on the couch.
"Hey! I do not snore that much." Ezra argued and sat down in the only chair, leaving me to sit down beside Silas.
"You do. I remember it and I was waisted." I said proving a point mentioning to the night we'd slept together.
"Shut up." He said crossing his arms turning his head away from us.

A while later dinner was ready and we ate. "It's delicious, Alexander." Josie said patting Alexander on the shoulder. "Oh and you guys should take Katherine to town tomorrow?" She added. "If you're not leaving that is."
I looked up from my plate also wondering when we'd have to leave this beautiful place. If I got to live like this every day I would, but I know I can't. I wonder how she does it, maybe she's not a part of the mafia.
"We have to leave tomorrow, I have business to do at home." Silas said his expression sunk, he was sitting across from me on the table and for a second we shared a glance before he looked back down at his food.

RomanceARRANGED MARRIAGE "I will not marry anyone. I don't care if it's for alliance, because we both know we don't need it!" I hissed back. Our mafia was one of the most feared, if not the most. No one dared touch us, so why marry a man who cannot give us...
