——— FOREWORD! hi everyone! and welcome to venturis ventis part three! yes, this is my third (or possibly fourth but tbh i've lost count) draft of this story, which i first began writing way back in november 2020. this version of venturis ventis is completely different to my first, as it has a whole new plot and very different characters to the first lot from 2020. i remember re-reading the second draft of this story a few months ago, and just thinking i could make this so much better, so here i am, almost 2 years after first deciding to write venturis ventis, starting all over again! put it this way, if i even manage to finish this story, i'll be more than happy
——— DISCLAIMER! as always, a disclaimer is required before this story begins. i do not own the hbo miniseries band of brothers. all rights go to the creators, steven spielberg and tom hanks. i do however, own my own original characters: katya levitskaya and her family, madeleine giroux, eddie rose, monroe, and any other characters that may be added into the story later on.
i would also like to stress that this story is a work of alternative historical fiction; everything is based off the actor portrayals in band of brothers. in no way do i mean any disrespect to the real men of easy company. please remember that although i will do everything i can to make this story as historically accurate as possible, it is a work of fiction, written mostly for myself because i love band of brothers. having said that, if i do make any mistakes, don't be afraid to dm me and i will correct it as soon as possible <3
within this story, i will be dealing with some mature and upsetting themes, including:
- period typical sexism and misogyny - the holocaust - graphic violence - blood and gore
i will always do my best to include a trigger warning at the beginning of every chapter where it is needed, but if i for any reason happen to forget, please take this as a warning! if you are triggered by any of the above mentioned topics, read with caution!
