*SORRY, SHORT CHAPTER!*
Bret's point of view:

I slammed the bus door.
Shit Shit SHIT! I was so awkward around Phoenix that I had almost totally friendzoned myself!

I couldn't tell much about her, she was a mystery, and I liked that. I wanted to spend time with her and figure her out.

I wanted to be friends, but she was gorgeous and an amazing girl from what I could piece together, so I didn't want to get so close that dating would be weird when the time was right.

There was something oddly familiar about her though.

As I walked by the couch, thinking about how I might have known Phoenix-Lynn, I noticed JC and a pretty red headed girl.

"JC, who's your friend?" I smirked with a raised eyebrow.

"Ashley, Bret. Bret, Ashley." He smiled at her. "I met her at set-up."

I grinned warmly. "Nice to meet you." I said to Ashley.

"You too!" she grinned back.

I kept walking and thinking about Phoenix.

Wait, No No NONONONO! She CAN'T be in HER band! I switched on my phone when I was in my bunk, in a flurried panic.

I went straight to my latest Instagram photo. 3 comments from Naomi Stillwell, wanting to hang out over the summer.

When we dated I had no space. she was obsessed with me. When I broke up with her she refused to believe it. I get constant tweets, comments and whatever else from her. I never blocked her because we had mutual friends like Dakota.

I tapped her name, right in her bio were the words I dreaded.

"Lead guitar in a band called Painkiller, links to check us out below!"

I let out a breathy sigh.

Peeeeerfect, now if I was around Phoenix-Lynn then she might be there too!

I did not need her constant hitting on me.
That sure wouldn't help my chances with Phoenix.

"Stab me with a fucking fork." I muttered, flopping facedown into my pillow.

The summer was about to get a lot more complicated.
