The bus I was on finally stopped as I got out and enjoyed the quiet.
"Hello!" My body froze at the happy voice coming from in front of me. "You must be (Y/N)!" I sighed through my nose as a redheaded women walked up to me.
"I'm Robin! The local carpenter! Mayor Lewis sent me here to fetch you and show you the way to your new home!" It's a 30 second walk to the left on that path behind you. "He's there right now! Tidying things up for your arrival!" Ugh.
"The farms right this way, if you'll follow me." Do I have a choice? She started walking to which I followed her reluctantly. "This is the (Farms Name) Farm!" I looked out on the mess of a field as we arrived and sighed again. This time Robin seemed to notice.
"What's wrong?" She asked with a concerned look on her face. "Sure it's a bit overgrown..." A little? "But there some good soil underneath that mess!" She said with a large smile.
"With a little dedication you'll have it cleaned up in no time!" Yeah. "And here your new home!" Robin said walking and spreading her arms out to the old farm house. I saw the door start to move and directed my gaze toward that.
"Ah the new farmer!" The man, I'm guessing Lewis, said walking down the stairs and to me. "I'm Lewis, the mayor of Pelican Town! You know, everyone's been asking about you!" Great!
"It's not everyday someone new moves in! It's quite a huge deal!" His smile was replaced with a smaller sadder one when he turned back to the farm house. "So... You're moving into your grandfathers old cottage. It's a good house... very 'rustic'."
My attention directed toward the home as I inspected it more. "Rustic? That's one way to put it." I heard Robin chuckle from behind me. "'Crusty' might be a little bit more apt, though."
"Rude!" Lewis yelled as Robin laughed more. "Don't listen to her, (Y/N)." He said turning back to me. "She's just tying to make you dissatisfied so you buy her house upgrades." I won't buy them any way. I can just do it my self. I thought well hearing Robin huff behind me.
"Anyway... You must be tired, from your long journey. You should get some rest." Great, they'll finally leave. "Tomorrow you ought to check out the town and introduce yourself. The townspeople would appreciate that." He said with a smile well I stood blank faced.
He then without excusing himself began to walk off before turned back around. "Almost forgot, if you got anything to sell. Place it in that box there and I'll come by during the night to collect it." Just onto my property? Yeah, that's totally legal. I'll just move the bin to the front of the farm instead of next to my house. "Well... Good luck!" He finished off.Lewis and Robin then left and I was left standing there. Finally...
